Thanks KK, Jwil, Merlin and TG
Thanks for understanding. I think this has been my first illness while living permanently alone (i.e. DD not expected back at a weekend or something). I think that added to the fear factor particularly as I got to Friday and realised how ill I'd been Wednesday and Thursday if that makes sense?
Only got up an hour ago and had a much successful sleep. A bit worried about tomorrow as I feel I should 'return' to work which with the ADHD meds I could achieve - but they would then impact my sleep. I may talk to the prescriber when next due a repeat prescription about getting some half dose meds so that at weekends or when ill I could choose whether or not to take the full dose. DS has done that and found it helpful.
I haven't even felt able to make art which is unusual for me - particularly given I have projects on the go and loads of new materials to play with...
I'm about to tuck into chicken, mash, roasted veg, carrot and swede crush and some peas (first meal of the day) so hopefully that will help me feel better. Grateful I could afford the higher cost food.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH I'd think twice about returning to work tomorrow.... it's probably much too soon. Take some extra time, otherwise you are likely to go down with a stronger dose. Rushing back to work is rarely the answer to illness. ((((hugs)))) XX

I’m in agreement about it being too early for you to go back to work. Please give it at least one more day / good dose of sleep (always a measure of me starting to get better) before deciding?Hope you enjoyed the chicken? 😊

well done!
There's even one on writing and illustrating kids books which I'm tempted to try and get on to as it doesn't start for a few weeks yet. They aren't very descriptive of when the course is held though or how many hours or anything useful like that - just it's overall duration in weeks. I haven't got the energy to follow up on that yet but it does offer hope of something decent. Even if it was held during the day I could probably do a deal with my boss to make up the time...
this course sounds amazing especially with your skills and interestDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Another vote for taking at least another day or two to recover and build up your energy and strength again. What would you advise any of us to do? Thought so! You would encourage us to be kind to ourselves and take a little more time off.4

Wrote a reply earlier and lost it. Better night's sleep last night. Hoping it will be tonight too. Managed to do some painting on the easel I found - set up for the first time - using the office chair to sit on. It's coming together - one I started Boxing Day. Feel more hopeful that I'll be able to go back to work. Cough improving - have now run out of antibiotics - so hope I don't have a relapse tomorrow. I will see how I feel in the morning. I am due to WFH tomorrow - so scope to take it easy if I need to. Still have a higher temperature than normal for me but it is falling.
A sis I didn't see at Xmas sent me a video of her kids opening their gifts and then using them which was nice to see. They genuinely looked pleased. Given I rarely see them - I'm never sure if they'll like them or not but they really did seem to. Better than last year when I got no acknowledgement whatsoever.
Finances just ticking along to pay day now in 8 sleep's time. I got a query from my buyer the other day which shows their solicitor still isn't talking to them which is frustrating. They've asked something I've answered via the solicitor. I may answer them tomorrow.
LWAP - I was very excited about that course and it didn't seem too expensive. I may give them a call to find out more details.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks TG. Another terrible night's sleep. My lungs are still making noises although not as much as before. I have a fever this morning though so I have texted boss to say off sick still. Took you guys advice. I may try partial adhd meds today to at least get some in my system so it's not such a shock when I'm back on full dose. I still need to get breakfast down me first.
I looked up the more local to me art course and it isn't starting for another couple of weeks so I need to know what's happening with the house really... before knowing which if any to book.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
