I agree re switching but I am sticking with Octopus I got £50 for switching but I get weekly free Greggs or Nero coffee which is worth a lot to me. I agree with Baileys_Babe re the insurance unless your children wants to keep the house and they cannot clear the mortgage themselves.

I have two types of meds I have to once each per day. The morning ones are with my toothbrush in the bathroom so they are right in front of me and the evening ones are on the dining room table where I sit, so ditto.

    Would something similar help?

I had the same thought about life insurance.  Ours is to cover us for the mortgage if either one dies, although we do have death in service and pensions as well, but those two things may change with time (i.e. giving up work or taking pensions).

I have to take my meds with food, but I don't eat breakfast so have to rely on taking them with lunch.  I've got a calendar invitations on my phone but doesn't always seem to pop up.  I may try setting a reminder to see if that works.

I find setting a daily alarm on my phone works very well, especially if I am on a new schedule.  But its all first food of the day and last food of the day at the moment and I can manage that

Most insurances pay outside of your estate - although you do need to check you have asked for it.  That takes it out of inheritance tax.  I think your kids are old enough not to need micromanagement from beyond the grave (sorry but it seems if many are obsessed with locking stuff in trusts etc which I don't think are worth it in those circumstances - they certainly don't work for most of what people hope they will).

Currently AVC(?)/DC pensions are also passed on outside of the estate (there are wrinkles but I think its pretty clear if its just passed to your children).  I'm not sure what divorce does to IHT but if it treats you as single then you have £325K for all assets plus £175K for you residence (again it has to be left to your kids for this to kick in).  Might be worth a question on the tax board if you have concerns

Thanks WD. My clutter levels are a lot better than they used to be. The stuff that's out I am actively using , it's just messy. Most of it is art related. But I have pens out and markers and pencils all be it in see through cases. I bought air dry clay as I want to try sculpture so I have about 8 pieces drying. I also have various items I was using to print on the clay... Jars of buttons, metal cogs, etc. I also did some papier mache as I wanted to try different sculpting techniques etc... ADHD what can I say!!! I have paints out too and my easel is up on.my dining table.... i keep flipping between different types of art and most of my downstairs is operating as a messy art studio.

I need someone to clean surfaces and floors mainly. The kitchen isn't too bad as at least I have a dishwasher etc. What having a cleaner does is give me a regular deadline to make the living areas more respectable.

Despite having extra cubes free I haven't yet put the stuff away I brought in from the garage last week. It's that kind of thing I struggle with...

In plugging the freezer in I fused my extension cable etc.... some items now need a new lead so I can use the washing machine etc....
