Thanks Sandy, EH, WD, Jwil and @astrolytic_kitten (Welcome back)

I've ordered a dehumidifier. Should come Monday - would have been this weekend but I delayed it as I'm due at the hairdressers on Saturday. It's one you can use with laundry so may give that a go. I've put clearing the cost into next week's (payday) budget and added the gardener's cost. Sent £ to CCs to clear recent spends.

My £ will be a lot tighter from next week due to sending more to AVCs so will see if that helps me exercise more restraint. I should get some back pay at some point in the next 6 months, possibly even by Xmas which will be lovely when it comes. I plan to use it to top up my audio book budget and holiday fund. I had a call with someone who might be my future boss today and he gave me some work to do (after talking to my current boss) - so that feels more official now. But there is a wider restructure going on that's due to last months so who knows... Had 3 nice video chats today which was good.

Still got less than 6 hours sleep last night... Wiped soil off the kitchen counters from the weekend's messy play today. I've resorted to CG veg soup (on offer) and some bought in Tikka Masala as I don't have the energy to cook at the moment. My delivery last night had 3 short dated items - which I've complained about - so I may get £8+ back.

Still need to defrost the fridge freezer. I may switch on my spare from the last house before I go to bed and then move things across tomorrow. I imagine I need to try and take the back off the freezer and use a hairdryer on it to unfreeze the fan. So irritating!

I still need to do a gas and elec reading. Reluctant to open my garage door as it looks shut at the moment instead of having a corner flapping. Last time I tried to get it open I struggled - and I'm worried I won't get it back right even if I succeed. If I get it open though - I may try again to declutter in there. There may be some bulbs in there too which would be good to plant.

At some point I could do with a plasterer and joiner to come and put a door on my half converted garage. That would help with some of the heat loss I think as well as noise. The previous occupants left the door - but because I was considering converting the area in full I've done nothing else about it... So many things on the house to do list...

Hope all is well with you all.

Still not asleep.  I have got £6.50 refund from Mr A. And claimed about £40 of cashback from Top and moved £4 to Xmas saver.

May give in and make art for a bit since I can't sleep anyway

    Morning!
I love CG soup too. Had chicken yesterday. Great for high pain days & can’t stand for any time darts.

You must be exhausted from your struggle with sleep patterns.
I think perhaps getting accurate energy bills based on up to date meter readings at the start of the colder weather might be a good thing despite the possible garage door issue.  You might even have a nice credit built up.  Could the new handyman have a look at the garage door for you?

Sorry to hear you're still struggling with sleep - everything feels worse when we're tired, doesn't it.

Thanks EH, Beanie, Jwil, Baileys_Babe and Blackcats

I need to stop taking the second adhd med. I take it as soon as I have breakfast. Not much more I can do. I take an anti-Dep around 9pmish which pre-adhd meds helped with sleep but has less impact now. I may need to refresh my HRT patch as I'm quite sensitive to that too. I may have missed a dose a couple of days ago. I'm never quite sure when I last took as it is a twice a week one so it's easy for it to slip a day etc. Any initial benefits I got in focus from the second ADHD med are now being lost due to sleep issues which is why I stopped taking it originally.

However the energy company sent someone to read my meter for me. He got my garage door open so I rescued a couple of boxes worth of tools and paints and then shut it again. I still couldn't lock it but it looks shut so I'll take that as a win. That's a couple of things off the to do list which is positive.

I've updated my finances and due to the impending car service and mot, the gardener one off cost and the dehumidifier plus the increased AVCs my £ will be a lot tighter in October. I'm hoping that will mentally apply a brake on spending. I don't know if an expense claim of around £80 will be paid in October - if not - I may delay paying for the dehumidifier on the 0% CC until I've received that. Thankfully my hair appointment effectively skips a pay period so that will help a little.
