Thanks Skint
Other MSE news of the day - I used a £12 off £60 spend at Sains earlier & got their N prices so saved another £10 on top. It all helps. I also got nearly £4 in free £ after the Fee from Sdr.
I've just made myself do 2 hours cleaning... It barely made a dent but the kitchen counters look nice and a load more stuff made it into the bin. I also unpacked and packed the dishwasher and put a load of washing on.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I also did a @Blackcats and shopped from home yesterday and swapped everything into a new handbag I already had since last summer instead of buying a new one.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Shame about the concert tickets, but a holiday would be lovely. Well done on shopping from home, and the other savings"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

That has reminded me to look out my lovely yellow handbag, or, even the pink one rather than just using the same black one all year. Thank you:)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
Well done on the cleaning and washing, it’s a good start. Shopping from home is also good. I’m terrible for just living in one handbag until it dies.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Well done on the cleaning you will get there and hopefully the agency finds you are replacement. I found mine via my local facebook group she is excellent and very fussy about who she takes on. I have never used an agency.

I too have shopped from home but in my case its my sister's wardrobe I'm shopping in.
I used a website when I was advertising as a cleaner, not sure if what the equivalent is down South4 -
Thanks WD, Beanie, Jwil, TG, Watty and Lucielle
On the cleaner - I don't know enough people here for word of mouth to work yet hence going with an agency. I don't really want FB recs from strangers for someone who I'd trust in my home. I did a little bit of hoovering in the front room this morning - as I'd collapsed three cardboard boxes yesterday that had been cluttering up the space. Once I've restored order and got stuff off the floor that shouldn't be there I'll set the robovac to work - but currently it would eat stuff which might then break it.
Ironically the website I'd planned to buy the holiday from crashed yesterday and still isn't back up which isn't the best sign. I'll hold on a bit longer and see if it changes.
My NT pack arrived today with my £15 gift card. I need to make sure I make the most of my membership over the summer as I tend to use it less in the cold and the wet. I made a list last weekend of places I'd want to visit and there are quite a few in this area that either I haven't gone to or its been a few years since I've been.
Having a late lunch as I got into what I was doing. There were graphics involved which definitely helped!!
I've now booked Friday off as sis wants some child minding. I may combine my visit with a trip to the Swedish shop. If I do the latter I need to go with a clear list so I don't get sucked in.
My kitchen counters look so much better. I need to buy a three shelf open cupboard or three shelves to put stuff on above my dishwasher as currently all that stuff is on my counter (i.e. most of what goes in and out of the dishwasher). I have those kind of pop up shelves on the counter to help with that but it would be nice if it was clearer. I still need to order a blind for my bedroom too. I also need some more cat food - as my subs order never came.
I brought some garden furniture with me from the last house - but I don't really like it and rarely use it. I realised at the weekend it's partly because it is too low. What I'd love is a swing seat. There's one I've had my eye on for a while for £230 so I may succumb. I'd then just put my existing L shaped sofa down the side of the house stood up potentially and just get it out for visitors. I don't have a big patio area - and what I have has rather a lot of pots in it!! At my last house I used my arbour and storage bench more - but ironically left those for the buyer. I'm also tempted by another storage bench - although there is a newish storage box I can use for now - but it has nothing to lean on.
Hope you are all having a good day. I'd best get back to work again.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That's a lot of positive changes.
Although sad to hear about the tickets, you've a great plan for the holiday.
