Fabulous to read that you've booked a holiday. It's yet another step forward in your independent life and will revitalise you. Can you imagine writing on here 2/3 years ago that you were off on holiday with your suitcase containing bikinis?3

Thanks Lucielle and Black cats.
Off to Italy to stay in a lake town. It looks stunning. Will be 8 years since I last flew. Paid for extra leg room and picked a place with shortish flight. Excited.
It would have seemed an impossibility earlier this year even...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks WD, Beanie, Skint and KK
I'm geographically challenged KK - so you may well be right!! I'll drop you a PM.
I got the mirror from the Swedish shop and was very disciplined and only bought that from there. There was a nearby MnS so I now have a multi-pack of soft comfortable bras that are 2-4 inches smaller than the bras I've worn so far this year. That feels another milestone. I also got a couple of camis with in-built support and a pair of shorts. I heard your words in my head Jwil - and tried not to over-buy.
Today I was going to wear a blue pair of cropped trousers that I wore when I weighed more - but they started to slide down - so I had to change into one of my new pairs. That too felt a total result - even though I really like the first pair. Tomorrow I should be able to pick up the trousers with the new zip.
What I realised after I got back from a stint child minding and shops was that the mountains I drew last year in one of my art pictures (and shared on here) are from the region I'm now going on holiday to. That feels meant to be. I've always fancied a lakes and mountains holiday but it was always out of financial reach. Fitness wise I think the most I'm likely to be able to do is ride up a cable car rather than trek afterwards but even that would be a huge win as the views look amazing. Another of my bucket list items is to try paddle boarding - and there's an affordable option for that on the lake so it might be possible for me now I've lost weight although balance is an issue for me at the best of times - if not they have other type of boat options which could work out and either way if the weather is warm I should have fun trying. I think I also read that there was a ferry. I see some sort of time on the water in my future.
