The data will become available to see what was offered and bid at some point. They did not get bids to cover all that requested sends a certain message back.

British Gas, OVO and EDF  had their bids rejected, likely due to being over 2500 MWh

    Maximum acceptance was 2500 MWh

Octopus Bid today £1750 per MWh.

Although I'd already been on my afternoon walk today, I decided to go on another at 5pm as I still had another hour left on my podcast episode. Can't wait for my 25p reward :D

I'm only being offered £1.52 per kWh so won't be taking part.
Any idea how they arrive at the rate?
They bid 1500/MWh hence the price. Not sure where the 2p comes from. As others have said other suppliers bid up to £2500/MWh and were accepted and anything over that was rejected

... a new low  :o but you've still saved the planet ... albeit by about 0.0012 seconds.

I tend to agree, my saving was 49p this time, less than half previous sessions. Hardly the way to encourage people to take part and they might regret bidding so low if they see a smaller takeup next time.
  • 49p off someone's daily use of say 10kwh is a reduction in electricity price of 4.9p kWh.
