    Ok, so your options include:
    - Keep delaying EDF until your meter fails or they come around with a warrant (either of which could take years), or
    - Switch to a supplier which can offer a more convenient split tariff.
While EDF might not offer split tariff on smart meters, OVO and Octopus so. And there might be other suppliers too.

I have emailed octopus as when I got a quote , with having two m pan numbers it asked me to do that

im presuming no one will take me on with the meter I’ve got

I’m panicking that my heating won’t work when signal goes off , although in June it won’t be too bad weather wise

The best fit that I can see from Octopus's tariffs is Snug Octopus. Specifically intended for storage heater users, with 6 hours overnight and 1 hour boost in the late afternoon/evening.

I think every supplier is obliged by Ofgem to take you on, on the standard variable tariff. But if you're going to be put on that in the interim until your meter is replaced, you don't want to switch until winter's over.

Yes please, if it's not too much bother. Showing the incoming cable, your meter(s), fuse box(es) and any associated gubbins.
