I don’t use the grid in peak times (solar + battery) how do I get paid for reducing my usage which is nearly nearly zero?
It has been mentioned that 10% of your usage calculations come from the day before. So what you could have done is charged your batteries today between.17:30-18:30.

Whether that is worth it or not that's up to you and probably not if you are on Agile.
Oh dear, we were out today and didn't get back until gone 6.30.  And tomorrow's dinner is using the hob for a long time   ah well, worth signing up for the prize draw anyway, even if we don't end up using any less.
Early or late dinner? To avoid the saving time slot.

I lost all my bookmarks but used to have two links, one to the page where we could see the grid were thinking of having a session, and one with a list of suppliers accepted and refused. Anyone got those links please?
How about the datasets linked in https://www.nationalgrideso.com/data-portal/demand-flexibility-service
That's it the Data Sets. Thank you very much.
  • No sun here today, battery hammered by baking and cooking sessions, hey ho. Reminder to self, don’t entertain on DFS days🍟+🍔

  • Mine won’t opt in - looks like there’s 3 random days with missing data in the last 2 weeks so that’s a bit annoying. The app isn’t working properly to tell you though - it just does nothing when you hit the opt in button. I’ve just now worked out what’s wrong with it.

Best of luck energy savers. Honestly makes me want to blast my oven for an hour haha. Noted that I probably want to start doing my laundry and tumble dryer in this slot as I’m a pretty low user generally so probably not missing out on my millions on this occasion.
  • Ooh sorry to double post but 800 points ineligibility reward has just appeared which is a nice gesture so I guess I advise trying to sign up even if your smart meter connection is a bit dodgy!

  • Turned the heating off*, that's the only thing I could think of without drastically inconveniencing anyone else.  The instantaneous power went from 1.8kW down to 500W though so if the temp doesn't drop too much in an hour, that'll be an easy win I hope!

[*Actually briefly forgot how to turn it off so just set the temp down to 14℃.  But a quick Google and I remember again.  However turning the temp down might be the easier option, don't have to come back upstairs to go back into the cupboard to turn it back on, just put the temp back up.]

I used 30Wh during the savings period. I'm shooing the moths out of my wallet to make room for my 5p.

    2.7kWh exported in total.

It could have been more but I missed the first 8mins as I'd forgotten to preconfigure the inverter for the export period and didn't remember until it had already started - need to try better next time haha
