What does Octopus compare usage to? Is it like last year where to get the most rewards we had to hugely increase usage in the few hours before. Or do they compare usage on the previous day?0

Huh ? How do you work that out… confused.BellaBlondykeTheThird said:

IIRC it's the average for that period in ten(?) previous days, the most recent ones for which smart meter data is available, going back a max of 60 days.Devongardener said:What does Octopus compare usage to? I’m on flux so not much to gain, but discharging will give me perhaps 20+pence / kWh but of course export does not make my usage go negative. Also discharging means I have to import at peak rates too. Seems that exporters get zero benefit, dunno hence why my question.MultiFuelBurner said:

Whether that is worth it or not that's up to you and probably not if you are on Agile.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy1 -

Yes, curiosity got the better of me too, and I clicked the more info link. Seems they are having some issues.BellaBlondykeTheThird said:Weirdly the website says I am opted in and has a countdown time.
The app says I am opted in then more info says I am not eligible.
Am I in or am I out?

I've been following this on many facebook groups. Apparently £2.25 per kWh exported during this period for those with batteries.

Nope - exporting during the 1hr slot earns you the bonus per kWh exported, near enough if your normal usage is near enough zerodebitcardmayhem said:

Any algorithm changes this year? Or are we still on the T-4 -> T-1 rampage?
Edit: Looking at the procurement rules, it looks like the on-the-day adjustment doesn't exist this year so there can be no gaming the system (which, is good really - but bad for those of us who could shift usage into the T-4->T-1 window)BL01 Step 3 – Calculate Baseline Values
For each Unit Meter Point (and each Settlement Period within Settlement Day D), Baseline Value is the same as its Unadjusted Baseline Value.

Oh dear, we were out today and didn't get back until gone 6.30. And tomorrow's dinner is using the hob for a long timeMultiFuelBurner said:
