Seems the results for the 1% club got saved until last.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25

They must have reviewed people’s usage to identify those with a PV array. It really felt like a fairly individual message received.
“ You and your fellow solar-powered customers made even more of an impact. You personally saved around 19x as much as the average customer without home solar – proving it pays to have rays.”
Nice touch. Good one, Octopus.
65279 points / £81.60 for me.0 -
I am in the 3% club, saving 8.9kwh which wasn’t bad considering I just didn’t cook during saving sessions and made sure the heating didn’t come on. I did all the sessions but failed to save anything on one of them. I have solar PV but no battery so it’s no help with saving sessions.0

2% here, wasn't easy as I was on intelligent octopus flux so usually exported which impacted baselines.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0

My email said I was in the top 4% and I don’t have neither solar nor batteries. Not sure I believe that - no idea how they came up with that conclusion. We did a bit of extra effort but I wouldn’t say we went all out on it.0

2% here without solar/battery. I am a little surprised, but shows how many opt in without going to much trouble when the sessions come around.

Because almost everyone who signed up did nothing.Pat38493 said:My email said I was in the top 4% and I don’t have neither solar nor batteries. Not sure I believe that - no idea how they came up with that conclusion. We did a bit of extra effort but I wouldn’t say we went all out on it.1 -
Over 14 Sessions, you saved 7.7kWh of power when fossil fuels were burning hardest. That put you in the top 4% of all customers. You stopped 2876g of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. And earned 16880 Octopoints or around £21.10 – the equivalent of 9.9 days' free electricity for an average UK home. You reduced your electricity use by 69% on average. You kept up a streak for 14 Sessions, earning you some bonus points too!
So where is my thank you bonus. Completed the questionnaire. Not sure about the effort for next time if they reduce the incentives, plus switching from flexible to tracker saved me more than any of the saving sessions1 -
Anyone know what happened to OP - says they have been banned? Savings sessions expected to kick off anytime now…Lancashire
PV 5.04kWp SW facing
Solar Battery 6.5 kWh
🐙 Intelligent Go
Mortgage freedom January 2024 - paid off 7 years early by making overpayments where we could.1 -
From what I’ve read on another forum, it’s unlikely there will be as many, if any, saving sessions this year. It sounds like there might be a couple of live events if it’s necessary. But probably none of the test events, which were most of last winters events.SuzeQStan said:Anyone know what happened to OP - says they have been banned?
