  • Good morning chums,
went to bed late last night, and am up early this morning .If you look at my thread from last night you will see why.iIhad a bit of a disaster with my piece of Gammon .Well I soaked it overnight, and have bunged it back into the oven to finish it off.Its a case of either it is o.k. or it's not. I am da**ed if I am going to fret about it now .If it tastes too bad then the birds in my garden are going to get a great Christmas dinner:rotfl:
I am taking two of my grandchildren to the cinema this afternoon, we are going to see The Golden Compass. That should stop them going on about what they might get tomorrow:rotfl: Like a good MS'er I have the sweets & popcorn already, and will take some squash for them to drink. The cost of a drink at the movies is silly, £2.00 for a bottle of fizzy pop, I don't think so;)

Tonight I am off to my eldest DD's and we all go to midnight mass, which is the start of Christmas for us .
Then tomorrow its back to youngest DD's for the day ,then back again to eldest DD's for the evening, then back again on Boxing day to youngest ones again .I end up feeling like one of those old Atari games from the 1970s ,you know the ping-pong ones :D
    It's all good fun though.
Well Happy Christmas to all of you wonderful folk on here:A and may all your pressies be what you wished for
Take care everyone,:j and drive safely if you are out and about, you are all very precious to us all
God Bless and I'll see you all after Christmas:D

    Hey everyone

Havn't posted on here for ages (partly as my life is a bit samey and boring) but do read every day.

Just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
  • Good Morning All

JackieO - I also had a gammon disaster - I bought it over a week ago - well in date and my fridge is the right temperature but when I got it out last night to put in the slow cooker it had gone off!!! So am late posting this morning as I got up ungodly early and have been to Tesco - luckily they had a few left so it is now in the slowcooker. Had terrible nights sleep - kept dreaming about gammon.

About to go in the bath in a min - just threw some clothes on before going to Mr T's - will put some washing and need to strip dd's bed later. Stuffing balls to be made - small pile of ironing and general tidy up and hoover.

Also need to go through and see what we are watching and taping today.

My dad is coming over later to take all the grandkids out - probably wll only take them to McD's - but they will like it especially as they will get some quality time alone with him. We will then exchange presents.

Going to enjoy my coffee and surf on here, hope to be back later but if not -
    Merry Christmas Everyone

    Good morning everyone,

I'm having a bit of a panic here my front crown has snapped off - when I opened my mouth this morning it just fell out. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get an emergency dentist appointment and that they can do something to help me. It's very sore and I can't speak properly or eat or drink:(

Just what I didn't need for Christmas. I'm supposed to be looking after my next door neighbour's children this afternoon too, while they do their shopping.

    :santa2: Morning all :santa2:

Busy bust day today so a quick post.
Still to do we have the sponge christmas cake - which the girls are doing. They're then going to ice it and decorate with iced christmas shapes for which I cheated and bought ready to roll coloured icing.
We also need to make the yule logs and some mince pies, as well as some baguettes [BM is already on.
I forgot to get prawns so contemplating a trip to farmfoods - haven't decided yet. Will prawns be missed if they're not on the buffet?
Other than that, there's the usual cleaning to be done before friends arrive.

Good luck at the hospital Penny-Pincher
