  • Hi guys! Don't often get time to post but I do pop by to read and catch up. DS woke up at 1.15AM with cramps in his legs, got him back to sleep straightaway, but me?! I led in bed for an hour and just couldn't get back so decided to get up and have a surf and hot tea and make a plan of action for today! DD and DS are going into work with DH as his company is throwing a Christmas party for employee kids today. They are so excited! I will drop them at the staion at 8AM and head off to Sainsburys. They won't be back until 3PMish so I have a good while to shop, tidy, do some food preparation and get things in order! Need to make some reindeer food, too.
Hope everyone has a really good day and a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

    Good Morning
DH just gone to work, couldn't sleep so got up to do what ? No idea, house is still in need of TLC, but in 25ish hours time it will be worse so I'm tinkering with the idea that it really doesn't matter.

Thank you Haribo for reminding me that the pigs in blankets need to be out of the freezer. No idea what's for dinner tonight, might just pull pizzas out of the freezer too. Got a couple of presents left to wrap, may run the dyson in an effort to minimise tomorrows damage.

Going to wander in to town with the children later just to get them out of the house. We've been a load of couch potatoes this weekend watching everything from Happy Feet to football.

    Happy Chrimble :)

    Morning :D

By 8pm last night, I was bleary-eyed. I was wondering - if I just sit here and chuck wrapping paper and bits of sellotape at the presents, will it all stick? :rotfl:

I've got family coming round today, I've told them that the door will be locked til 11.30am, they can turn up up when they like after that :D

The washing's on, another load to go in after that then I'm done.

I have to cook the party food but that's easy - Confession Time :o - I didn't make any of it, I bought the lot  :rotfl:

PP, thinking of you today

I want to pop back in later, but in case I can't, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas

:santa2: :santa2: Morning Everyone woke up an hour ago, why heaven knows, nothing drastic left to do, and only grown ups here, and very quiet Xmas day, all in all pretty boring.

I broke my rule and allowed DS22 to have his PS3 yesterday, together with one game (the one I want to play) Tennis. He knew about the PS3 so not surprise there, and had worked out if he got any game it would be the Tennis one, so not spoilt any surprises, still has no idea of anything else he has to open. The agreement was that if he had it yesterday, today he was out all day, and we would have some time with him Xmas day not spent on the PS3! We'll see. I had ordered the game from Amazon, but it was out of stock and called into a Gamestation in town, and found it in the pre-owned section for £14.99, so well pleased there. I had a practice, on very easy level, and ended up with a sore thumb! Seems my gaming skills need practice. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Not that they will get much as he is taking it back with him. Reckons he will be able to stay in more playing on it!

Seems Aussie is 10 hours ahead of us, so about 16.45 at the moment so if my maths are working she his Xmas around 2pm! Which reminds me where is Maths ? Hope DD picks up soon Amie, anniestar just put the cards up, they hide most of the dust and if not say you couldn't dust for the cards! Worked for me many a year. HJ - you old softie, Ophie hope DD likes her birthday fish with the Spanish pronounced names. Tru - a girl after my own heart, I bought a M&S Chrismas Cake (theoretically a seconds one but don't know why) delish! Well I only decided to get one the day before BIL was coming, he loves fruit cake and his family don't like dried fruit!

Enough waffling from me, to those of you who maybe a little pre-occupied from here on :xmassign:. Hope the poorlies feel a little better over Xmas.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Good morning everyone,

I managed to wangle xmas eve off work this year which is great as it has taken all the last minute stress away. Today I will do housework all morning and food preparation in the afternoon. I have made a food hamper for my parents and will take it to them in the evening.

Looking forward to taking all the food from the freezer today - at last there will be some room again !

Lunch will be cold meat sandwiches and dinner will be hm meat kebabs with rice, tomato sauce and salad.

    Have a great day !!!
