Thanks I, have tried to register the card online but it hasn't been accepted by Paypal, and I cant use the card in any store I have found. Any advice on using the Global Debit card to make 5 purchases to qualify?

Scrap that I also have just used to top up Octopus energy, and seems to of worked!

I've topped up Octopus too. Works a treat at 50p a time. I've used this for TSB and Coop too.

I completed my account application on 05/11/2023 (yes i know a little last minute - however still within the deadline).

After various phone calls and chasing ever couple of weeks my account was opened 23/12/2023. I asked why and they said due to the high demand of applications!!!

Anyway, as soon i could i completed all of the tasks to get the £125 and then waited until after Christmas.

I waited through January, then yesterday i called the number 0345 740 4404 to chase.

After a few automated options of choosing "its something else" i got through to an agent, explained the situation and he (after checking i had met the criteria) deposited the £125 to my global money account.

I have until April to get the additional £80, which i will do next.

Its such a shame HSBC created such a bad first impression with the speed of processing my application.

I thought i would share.

I believe the additional £80 payment was due in April?  So might be pretty soon?......  Has anyone had it yet?

Their terms say they will check in late April and pay in early May. ISTR they will check on April 29 and pay between May 1 and May 8, but I am not definite about that.

Thanks.  So still a little while to go.  I nearly forgot all about it.

It’s now April so the £80 should start being paid out this month I believe? - if anyone gets it please update on this thread!

I got the £125 and bought 5 x £1 Amazon vouchers online from the Global Money Account. I assume that is enough for the £80 in May? Thanks
