Three data reward sim changes

Put O2 Classic in my 2nd slot when it stopped working. Just resurrected that as they cut me off after 4 months possibly less (attempted to use data over the summer but it didn’t load much due to poor signal.) Maybe 3 did me a favour as I’d have taken longer to notice otherwise and possibly lost my O2 Classic that actually cost me money. Also nothing on one that my mum had in an iPad but will dig out an old phone and check them again before binning.0

Has anyone been contacted by Three since the end of Data Reward was officially confirmed?

How/why would they contact people? Many of those sims are just dead or dormant and live ones may have no contact details as never registered on an account. Suppose a text saying "Goodbye" might be nice.muffinhead said:Has anyone been contacted by Three since the end of Data Reward was officially confirmed?0 -
Of course they should have texted. The problem is, they didn't try. Sure there are a lot of parasitic customers for this SIM, myself included, but my wife and I also genuinely used a SIM egg as our main day to day SIM. They didn't even tell us about the 10x price increases on texts, calls and out of allowance data. They don't need my address or other contact details because they had my main contact number and have been happy enough to abuse that for marketing messages in the past.flaneurs_lobster said:

I had fully registered (and I still am) but they haven't contacted me BUT there again, as soon as I discovered things had changed back last November & December, I got in touch with them and "negotiated" my own "settlement" rather than go to the ombudsman, so no real reason for any contact follow up since. I suspect others may not/may have had contact depending on their marketing preferences!muffinhead said:flaneurs_lobster said:

Does it really matter now? It's nearly a year, we know it's gone. People have complained, got some compo, gone to the ombudsman and got compo, or just dumped the SIM and gone elsewhere. We know what choices/tariffs they currently have, see if there's something there to suit if you want to use Three. Even take a look at Smarty if there's something there that may suit.0 -
It might be possible to put pressure on 3, first complain to the ombudsman then if the resolution offered is not acceptable then you are allowed to ask the ombudsman for an independent assessment of his decision if we all did did things might change.

FWIW, both of my Reward SIMs have died. Replaced with an O2 Classic (20p for 2 incl postage!) and a 3 PAYG (because it has good roaming powers).
I will not be complaining to the Ombudsman.0 -

Mine is working fine, mind you I have credit on it and currently have an active Data pack BUT remember to use it at least once every 180 days as per the new Ts&Cs.0
