I'm up too, as it is another poppy day, my tray has been topped up 3 times by the organiser when he comes round over the last week, just as well as I would have run out otherwise.

Morning all, and welcome back kazwookie [waves]

For me, this week has simply flown by, and it's been a shock to realise that it's Friday already.   I've finished my second brew and have been sitting at my desk for over an hour already.

Only 11 days to DS1's 50th birthday, and I still haven't found pictures from every year for his photo book.  One problem is that I have gone through all the albums full of prints, my computer folders, flash drives and camera SD cards, but there is a a big gap between 1994 and 2006.  I know I took pictures of DS1 in the first house he bought, which was sometime during those missing years, so there are also likely to be others.  I have a horrible feeling that they have been written over by mistake  - those were probably the worst years of my life, when lots of things went wrong.  Today I need to look through a flash drive that DD sent me, from when she went through a box full of packets of negatives, but I know that she didn't save them in date order.  After that, it will be a matter of going through every one of my family history crates, to see if I've missed anything.  The whole task has shown me just how many rubbish pictures and how many duplicates I've got, so I guess I shall be decluttering and sorting properly all through the winter!  But there are some gems among the rubbish, that bring back happy memories, so it's not a bad job to do, and it will leave things in better order for the younger generations.  Onwards and upwards....

Of course, all the time spent at my desk has meant that flying has taken a back seat again.  We have plenty of food in stock (DH won a huge box of F&V at the SW raffle on Tuesday) so no shopping trip needed until next week.  The washing is all up to date, and and the clean clothes and bedding have been FUPA.  The bathroom has been S&S'd regularly, as has the kitchen (though the floor in there needs mopping).   DH ran the Dy$0n stick thingy over the LR floor yesterday, but it ran out of charge before he had even finished the one room.  This has happened before, so I reckon the rechargeable battery must have died.  Goodness knows how much a new one will cost.  That's another thing to add to my list!

Morning all

Hugs to those who need them - especially @pigpen

Just pottered yesterday really. Cleared a hotspot on the kitchen window ledge and did start a proper clean with detergent and water of the kitchen floor. I don't like to do it all at once because it then take ages to dry and, as it's the hub of the home, it means the kettle etc. is out of bounds for ages. I did one row of 15 rows of 12" tiles (it's a big room!) and the kick plate they are next to. I shall do another couple today - perhaps the 'column' by the cupboards on the long edge of the room and do the kick plate at the same time. 

Never did portion up the last of the fresh yeast because the baggies arrived too late.  I shall do that this morning - also need to get another loaf going.

Looking at the forecast, it seems once this band of rain has passed, it's going to be dry with a nice breeze so I'll get the WM on and hang it all on the line.

DS has the day off so we are planning to go out for a drive this afternoon as long as the thing he's ordered arrives early enough. We don't know where, just somewhere - maybe a cliff top to blow the cobwebs away. 

I'll have to make a Toots list - I remember her with great affection...

Morning all,
Waves wildly at Kazwookie - lovely to see you back! Now we have someone chain-saw wielding to help chop our firewood in the Village.
I have a day off today, actually not back in work until at least Wednesday, maybe Thursday. Yesterday was my birthday, a big fat zero one, and we were thinking about going away for the weekend from today. Plans changed, as DH has just gone off to a funeral, so we are meeting up with DD, DSiL and BiL over the next couple of days instead.
So I have day to catch up on (some of) my many lists, starting with sorting out the bouquet of flowers that work got delivered for me yesterday. I have a Land of Lakes parcel to sort out - can’t remember what is in it, but think it might hold a couple of C-presents. Wm and dw are both on, need to sort out clean washing, buy a railcard and train tickets for our weekend jaunts, and a zillion other things.
Obviously as I had no need to get up this morning, I was in the WAC. In between dreams involved me driving through Poland to get a boat to the German Islands. Not once, but twice. And I’m not convinced that I wasn’t actually driving a boat through the whole of Poland… weird.

I have breakfasted, S&S'd the kitchen, PUPA in the LR, showered, dressed, looked through the last 3 albums in the landing cupboard (the pictures were all of my childhood and my mother's) and am about to start on today's admin before continuing the photo hunt.  At some point today I also need to go to Action Heart.

Oh my days, I might have to add that to my Places To Go list (another list that never sees the light of day). Whoever knew? Maybe it was in my subconscious.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a crisis of numbers yesterday, but seem to be over it today 😊. 

My day is dashing past - have done a lot of PUPA, decluttering along the way. Every little helps, and all that. Dusted downstairs as the sun came out and gave the dust away. Now I am debating - vacuum cleaner or admin? Both are on my Most Hated list. See, I said that I had a list for every occasion!

I've also given the handbasin in the bathroom a good scrub, and decluttered half of the kitchen worktop,  cleaned it, and refilled tea, coffee and sugar caddies. Binned a few bits, put a few bits away and started a new box for cs bits. That half of the kitchen is now worthy of the name 'flylady'. The other half? Tis a WIP. I've put away the cling film and the cooking foil. I may use the ottoman principle 🤔 Remove one item every day. More if the mood takes me, but at least one item every day.
