I’m so distracted by the thought of this lovely village, that I’ve done virtually no flying. Nothing beyond creating a dinner from the fridge contents (veggie-sort-of-bake, including an errant half a swede - Iona 😉), and put the kitchen to bed. Wm is loaded for the morning, hoping that the clean washing from Tuesday will eventually be dry. It seems like the heating might be working again - shhh, in case it hears.
I started knitting DD’s socks last night, so I now have to choose - knitting or library book. Not clever enough to do the 2 together. And I’ve just got allocated the Lisa Jewell that ASB recommended a while back, so that is in my library book reading pile too.6 -
Ooooh Fayolle I am jealous you get to read it for the first time, it’s absolutely brilliant. So pleased the heating is working again x8

MumtooMany dont tempt us or we will all be there with our suitcases 😊. Today has been horrible, I have so much to do at the paid stuff and then wondered why I felt tired and anxious this afternoon. Well that might be because I am doing 9 hour days juggling dozens of different things and not taking breaks.
So I am taking a leaf out of ASBs book, slowing down and being kind to myself. DH made chicken pie for tea, I have shuffled laundry on and off airers because it's raining again and supervised the new curtains going up in the kitchen. I am now off to make horlicks and start a new library book.
I hope CofG is OK too.9 -
Good evening / night all x
I have done a couple of bits today but still have quite a list!!
Work was .....work!! Thinking I'm too old / set in my ways to change to anything else, but another 20+ years of this ???
Sorry, anyway hope all are ok, and hugs to those in need xx
When are we starting the Flylady village? I can be ready soon xx7 -
I've lost track of everything and everyone.........but maybe I could volunteer to wander round the village doing a flower arrangement in every place, that would keep my step count up and satisfy my need to chat; those who don't do 'people' surely will let me in if I come bearing flowers..........and I will helpfully taste any food/coffee on offer provided the ingredients are clearly marked; sorry to hear about all your allergies Pigpen it's a pain and I don't have as many as you. Still recovering from foolishly eating some rye bread at a yummy Danish bakery/cafe at the weekend. I haven't had rye for about a decade as I know it's on my intolerance list, so I thought it may have fizzled out. Not.
House isn't bad. Up to date with washing, washing up, tidying.
I have one report which will be finished tomorrow then I can start today's; a delightful young lady.
Went to Mr A on the way home but not one of their better-supplied days so I'll have to top up at Mr T tomorrow.
Home admin seems relentless but I'm persevering.
Garden is very wet but this week we've got various jobs done in between showers.
Fairly good news on the disabled friend who had been sending me rather odd messages - she is in a care home (not good - but I was fearing the worst). If she has to be in one, it is a very posh one (looked at the web site when we were looking for one for MIL .....until we saw the price) and better still, is only 10mins drive from me, in the town I do zumba and drumming in. So I'm hoping to visit her in the next couple of days.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning All
Pouring with rain from what I can see, will hold off letting the dogs out just yet!
I am on annual leave from noon until Tuesday and looking forward to it. Lots to do this morning, lots already done as well. I went for a wee at 11pm, having been asleep since 9pm, DD was still wide awake watching Friends! I have just woken her, she seems fine but I bet she will be tired later!
Have fab days all, I hope you stay warm and dry wherever you are xx9 -
up early because i have booked a freezer repair man for work at who should arrive between 9-10
DW, WM and TD x 1.
house really needs some attention but neither DD nor I have had the time, recently. She’s in the throes of polishing/submitting her dissertation, I’ve spent so much time at work or with the aged Ps.
Hope all have good days,Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Morning all.
Do we have a day off today or are Thursday's tasks written in invisible ink?
Less rain forecast today so I might get out in the garden and collect up some pine cones (there are a gazillion out there following the winds over the last week) and bring them indoors to dry (they make brilliant kindling for the fire once they are dry) - my current stash is very low. I'll toss a coin as to whether or not I should put the washing load I need to do on the line to dry...
New supply of tiny wrap-sized bags are due to arrive today so when they do, I'll finish portioning up the yeast.
Hope all are well.
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning everyone,
Earlier in the week:
Look at the finances for this month
Make a festive food list
Do preventative treatment for the cat
Today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Attend uni classes
Do some reading for uni
Do paid stuff
Wash up the dishes, dry and put away
Do 2 loads of laundry
Post an updated advert for lambing work.
Put up the other curtain rails
Check finances and direct debits
Make a start on ordering festive food (Note to self - this really needs to get done as running out of time)
Order curtains for the bedroom
Order animal feed and bedding.
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a good and productive Thursday.8
