Hello all. Just had a quick skim read so hugs, wishes etc where needed.
I just need to get a work shift done later then I'm off for nearly a fortnight. Plans have changed though as we have to travel 400 miles tomorrow to see MIL in hospital and my one day out next week with friends has been cancelled for a much needed medical appointment. Ah well.
Currently sorting out plans for the dog while we're not here. Today I've done one work shift, walked Poppet, and printed some posters to go up round the village.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Dot was a pain to gt out to school this morning.. refused to take a coat, 'lost' her shoes, moaned about everything.. then had a nose bleed in the car ont he way there.I picked a bit of broken tooth out which has been been driving me mad all week.. it is a tiny sliver! I have the beginnings of another migraine I think.. my eye feels sticky and wierd and my face is numb again.. I may take half a tablet and see if it works.OH had to chase down the school bus with Squeak.. she 'lost' her stick and the bus was flying.. after being late all week.
We went to The R@nge and got some stocking fillers and filled the freezers from the 1celand section.. I did not go look at the christmas decs!! I bought DD1 some scented kitchen roll for christmas lol. I bought some smelly stuff to go in the bin.
As we got back some guy was delivering a parcel which he left down he side of the wheelies.. thankfully we were just at the end of the street. The postie pulled up as we did too with some new-to-Pixie dungarees from my friend..

Hi Everyone, I'm a bit late with my list today as I have had a busy day so far.
Earlier in the week:
Look at the finances for this month
Make a festive food list
Do preventative treatment for the cat
Today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Attend uni classes
Finish writing up uni notes.
Do some reading for uni
Do paid stuff
Wash up the dishes, dry and put away
Post an updated advert for lambing work.
Put up the last curtain rail
Do Mr T order
Check finances and direct debits
Make a start on ordering festive food (Note to self - this really needs to get done as running out of time)
Order animal feed and bedding.
Think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a good Friday10 -
Hi @MinnieMousesMummy, what animals do you have? X10

Fayolle a belated birthday flower arrangement for you.
I'm sitting here feeling far happier than I expected as I have just visited my friend in the care home. I'd expected to find dementia had been confirmed but she "only" (and it isn't a little thing) has had some falls and fractured some vertebrae. Most unpleasant but - in a limited way as she was already disabled with back issues - more fixable. We had a nice mainly coherent chat, she is happy and beginning to ask questions about future plans; apparently it is the first day she has done that. I messaged her daughter when I got home (have now got her number) and got a very welcoming reply with a lot more detail.
One load washing done.
A report nearly finished.
Veggie sausage and aubergine casserole in the combi oven.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Good evening all xx Hoping all are well, I have only skimmed the thread xx
Friday at last. I have scores to put into the system from work, and then I can switch brain off!!!
I'm afraid not much flying done, but I'm hoping to catch up tomorrow.
Debating if I want a takeaway......
Edit .....phone call with DSD done, and takeaway ordered.10 -
Morning all. Hope you all slept well.
First, a little reminder that today is your LAST CHANCE to sign up for the FLYLADY SECRET SANTA if you haven't already done so. Do PM me if you want more information before deciding, and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can, but the deadline is midnight tonight!
My aspirations for today:
- S&S bathroom
- S&S kitchen
- WMx2 and hang out, as it's dry and sunny here
- hoover through downstairs
- order meds
- order new battery for vacuum-onna-stick thingy
- ring the library to check the date and time of an event that a friend told me about, which does not appear on the library website
- finish sorting DS1's photos: yesterday evening I found his graduation mini-album plus a few more years' worth of photo files on a clutch of CD-ROMs at the bottom of a crate with other bits of family history, but I reckon he managed to avoid being caught on camera for almost all of the 9 years between his graduation and engagement!
Wishing everyone a good weekend xxx7 -
Morning all
Belated squishy Birthday hugs for Fayolle x
What a week. Went to our work Autumn Conference yesterday. Drove an hour down the A1, mingled with strangers and asked questions in workshops. Proud of myself. Have brought away some ideas about some changes at work that are going to require me to be brave, I might need some hand holding.
So after a 45 hour week I had a restless night dreaming about work. DS turned up here at 11pm and we may or may not be going for lunch today for his birthday. Either way we are at a big 60th birthday party tonight so it could be a busy day.
The upstairs of the house is presentable. Downstairs is another matter. I have taken the washing off the airer.
Love to all x9
