A friend of mine has not been paid the incentive although I have and we both completed the switch on the same day , 15th Nov. Does anybody know ?Your friend should refer to the switching letter issued by Barclays outlining the DDs to be switched. If there aren't two, then the incentive won't be paid. They may not notify those not qualifying, as nobody had to confirm whether or not they were switching as part of the offer.worriednoob said:Darn - Just had a letter from Barclays that my partner's switch from Nationwide is going ahead on 27th Nov. Tried to call Barclays, but their line is very busy. What shall we do now? Have we messed up the switch and can we still rectify it?Presumably Barclays postal comms is about 5 working days behind. Have you received a list of payments that are supposed to be switched yet? I believe some have reported that this was provided in the documents section of the app at around day 2. I would have thought Nationwide would have contacted you by now if you are already on day 6. If there is a switch happening, you should be able to see the DDs on the account by tomorrow morning. But it seems unlikely both Barclays and Nationwide wouldn't notice the account being switched doesn't belong to the switcher. When I started my switch, I had a notification from Ulster on day 1. It's the fastest I've ever known them do anything. I was expecting them to send the 'sorry you're leaving us' letter by carrier pigeon sometime in 2024.

I would have thought Barclays applied for the account as per the sort code and account number entered and not by the name
Are you sure you gave them the correct details0 -

Yes, the sort code and account number are definitely right as otherwise we wouldn't be able to transfer the DDs from Nationwide that are now showing in Barclays. However I believe whilst switching two accounts with Barclays at the same time, we've accidentally entered my name instead of my partner's and I guess that's the only mistake.

Hoping it’s next Monday as could really do with the cash before the end of the month.1 -

I messaged Barclays and asked when to expect it and was told "within 28 days of switch completing".As far as I know, I've complied with the T&Cs.

Guys I've got an update on our switch situation. The switch has happened and my partner can now see the money that was in the nationwide account in the Barclays account, so it looks like it's been successful, even with the wrong name!
Does that mean we should still get the switch incentive?1
