Switch completed Monday 13/11, £175 received today 20/11. Two options really:
    A) Bin off the Blue Rewards and save £5 next month guaranteed; account primed for another switch.
B Keep going, pay in £800 in Dec plus pay out the 2 DDs setup & rinse another £200 via NS&I = £5 debit 04/12, £10 in Cashback Rewards (5%) sometime in December, turn off Blue Rewards, £5 credit January 2024.

i was looking through the cash back rewards site can you buy something online on debit card as opposed to in a shop and use the card and get cash back

the 5% is on anything up to 200 in Nov and Dec each ?

I also had the £175 today and the Nov £10 cashback. Switch completed on 15th. Can't decide whether to hang around for the £10 December cashback or to just end the Blue Rewards and be happy.
  • hmm my switch isn't going through until 24th - seems that everyone who had already switched got their bonus today so am wondering if it's a monthly payout they do...any thoughts?

Hopefully its not monthly may find that given the offer only launched on 1 November, earliest switch completions would've been Friday 10th, so may be just the first batch of incentive payments started today, ie for those that completed in week 1 (+ a day for 10th).

Hopefully they do regular batches of payments, for example daily/weekly etc.  As the offer is running for just a month any way, would mean that one payment for 1 week of switches  and 3 weeks of switched next month if only did them in one batch which would seem a lot of work.

it will be interesting to see times of other switch payments after this point vs date of the switch.
    MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..

Yeah, I think it's probably done as a batch. No telling when the next batch could be but maybe they'll do it every Monday or something.

I applied for the account online and got accepted straight off. Had to wait until I got my debit card and card pin, which arrived today. They also said I'll receive in an email a 5 digit pin to access my account via the app to set up banking that way. The 5 digit pin hasn't arrived yet.
I now have the agonizing wait for the card to come through the post so I can register the app so I can begin the switch and join Blue-Rewards. Royal Mail round here isn't the best so it's going to be a close call weather I get the card before the 30th Nov!!

Assuming this is Barclays, you cann access your debit card details throug the app once your PIN sentry activates
i got the app sorted today and account started and also did the switch.. did not want for debit card to come through or the pin..

    what am i missing

Might have misunderstood you there - you need the debit card details for your donor account to complete the switch. It doesn't matter if your Barclays card details have arrived or not
understood, lets see if it goes through as i pressed no to having a debit card for the donor account and within 30 mins called the card at the donor account with no replacement so officially i dont have one anymore.

my switch should complete on the 28th Nov... cutting it fine but the criteria was to start the switch before the 30th Nov .. and you have 30 days for it to complete... so should be enough time to rectify any issues which arise

My card/pin took about 7 days to arrive then I initiated the switch using the card details and pin to activate/gain access in the app. The 7 days also included the weekend so that could have slowed things.
I think you'll be ok along as the switch is actived before the end of the month👍

I wasn't expecting it to be that quick. My switch completed on 9th, so it does look like a batch process.
