i am going to the branch today to show my ID as I applied through the app, what do i need to tell the branch staff so i am still eligible for the switch reward after the account is open and i do the switch.

do i need to make it clear to them i want the account opened through the app ?

Switch completed last Tuesday 14th and £175 paid out today 20th.
Just no one else to move too now

I'm trying First Direct.  Ive had a switch bonus in the past from them, but the account has dropped off my credit files now.  I read a thread on here that FD paid people a 2nd incentive.  Will report back if they do.

Amazing thanks. I've just opened my one today and activated blue rewards. So once my card comes I just need to buy premium bonds and the cashback is there right? (Just ensuring I didnt miss something!)

You also need to register for Cashback Rewards in order to get the cashback.

I suggest you take your fully charged device that has the app with you and hopefully they will assist and advise as necessary. That's what I did and they were very helpful. (I had made an appointment on the phone so they were expecting me and knew what I was going for in advance.)

Like others, I too have received the £175 switching bonus today. Switch completed on 15th November.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I asked when I phoned up to book an appointment for the same thing, and the lady on the phone said that even if they end up having to open the account in branch, as long as you do everything else on the app it should still count. My switch doesn't finish for a week so we'll see.

if you started the switch today and answered no on the barclays app to having a debit card on the account you are switching over ( when you do actually have one - i forgot) will the switch complete or fail ?

i phoned my bank im switching away from straight away and cancelled the debit card and said dont send a new one..

Interesting, I (or wife) have never had a switching bonus from them but did have accounts last year (hers only opened to switch, mine was used for about 3 months before switching)
I may try tonight and see if it will go through, they can only reject the application.
