Barclays £175 switch offer - new customers only, Nov 1 - 30 2023

Barclays have been winging it with a lot of this, and a lot of the experiences have varied. I had to chase, and had to make a branch visit, but got there in the end. I transferred 3 newly set up direct debits, one of them being paypal. Shortly after my transfer went through I made a purchase using paypal to trigger a DD payment from my Barclays account. My switch payment came through on the same day that the paypal DD went out. That was the first DD that had been paid from the account.
They offered me £25 as an apology to not complain further but I have said no and will be calling tomorrow0 -
After trying the blue rewards and cashback which took over a month to arrive, in the t&c but even so long time to wait for a few quid and the £5 fee and credit wiping itself out I cancelled BR and CB three days ago.
The BR disappeared immediately.
Today the BR is back on my account. Yes it’s Barclays. Tried to leave again and I get a message saying there’s an error please try again later or phone us (please God no). Imagine it’s because it has been closed which is why it’s back on my account FGS!
Im covered for next months fiver cancelling itself out I think but who needs this inefficient but predictable hassle.0 -

Another Barclays switch scam here, my partner and I both tried to switch on the 30th of November the app had technical issues (tried on both phones and two tablets) we received a text message the day after saying the offer was extended until the 5th because of the issues the night before so we switched, ticking all the boxes. Account openen on the 13th of December, two direct debits and £800 with it and blue rewards opened too. No money received to date.
Several calls giving us different dates, but always giving us excuses, today was pathetic, had a lady telling me I actually held an account that was closed on 2020 so that's why I didn't receive the incentive, I said that's not in your t&c at all, then she said oh ok, and went onto finding various excuses, listed them below
-The switching team only opens 10am to 2pm.
- My blue reward was closed and opened again (I said that must have been your technical issues, not me!)
- I was meant to put £100 a month (I said what? You making up terms now? Then she said on was actually £800 a month, I said no was one off payment of £800 and that was done!) She didn't know what else to say so went onto sending the team an email and telling me I had to wait until I m contacted.

I called back within the switching team opening hours but turns out they can't transfer me, they filed a ticket and all I can do is wait?
Like what's going on with this bank!
