It’s being reported today that the £150 cost of living payment to people in receipt of PIP has been quietly cancelled.

As I said on the other thread that you posted the same link on, there was never going to be another for those that are only claiming disability benefits. The only one this year was paid in June/July. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#disability-cost-of-living-payment-eligibility
That’s not true. People in receipt of PIP were due to get another £150 payment this month.

    The Guardian got it wrong.

This is reported in the Guardian July 22

    What payments are being made?

There are three different cost of living payments:

    • The main cost of living payment, worth £650 in total, for those on income-related benefits and tax credits.

    • The pensioner payment, worth £300, for everyone who receives the winter fuel payment.

    • The disability payment, worth £150, for those on non-means-tested disability benefits.

It will be interesting to see if The Guardian removes the article as it is factually incorrect.

As above.... it looks like the article is at best misleading and in reality probably factually incorrect. The government set out the payments for COL for the year and the PIP payment was made in summer - there never was any further payment publicised or detailed that I have ever seen and the article sheds no light on its apparent false claims.

  • I received my COL payment today. Yay! No sign of the Warm Home Discount yet.

Was it in the bank first thing or did it arrive through the day do you know?
  • Has anybody else bot received their payment yet?

My daughter hasn’t had hers yet. There’s still plenty of time to receive it, today is only day 3.

Received my payment today so remember you have a deadline of 19th to receive it but some have pointed out that 19th is a Sunday so officially the Fri 17th is the last working day. So roughly around 2 weeks to wait from today. Remember to check your banks because notifications aren't always updated via Apps.
