No-one seems to know if you get the payment when you're on pension savings credit. People are telling me I'm not eligible because it's not the guarantee credit, but I got the payment last year. This year my friends have had letters saying they'll get a payment and I haven't had anything. I didn't get the warm home discount last year either as I was switched from Bulb to Octopus and Octopus didn't seem to be paying it to new customers.
Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0 -

- The entitlement conditions in the legislation just require that the person be receiving State Pension Credit so that certainly does appear to be the case, even though savings credit isn’t normally treated as a passport in other contexts.
- The Pensioner Cost of Living Payment of up to £300 will be paid as an increase to Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024. You can get a Winter Fuel Payment if you were born before 25 September 1957.

If you switched to Octopus after middle of August last year then this could be why you didn't receive it. You should receive it this year. https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme/guarantee-pension-credit

It can be anytime up until 19th November. I had mine today but my daughter didn't. Even though i'm her appointee and her benefits go into my bank, the same back my benefits go into. I'm not worried because there's plenty of time and today is just day one.

In today's society, there should be nobody desperately waiting for their COL payment.
We wouldn't need the payment if benefits were enough to live on rather than just exist.3
