Was hoping to go for my blood test but then decided having a shower and washing my hair was enough of a challenge for today (took until after 11 am). Continued shuffling rubbish into the bin, with lots of naps. Not there yet but I am getting there.
Money found reached £285 in notes, then found another £10 note on my desk (yesterday). Drinking tap water since my fizzy water and caffeine free drink ran out. I was bringing the last bottle upstairs when it rolled / bounced back down. It was making a noise so not sure if it's broken or just escaping around the top. I certainly wasn't going back to get it and it's landed on top of a towel and a bathmat waiting their turn in the WM so they should soak it up- will go down when I feel strong enough. Bin bag is nearly full (today's big target) and I've just used a coathanger to scrape more out from under the bed.
Grateful for my little bag of food (yummy chicken pasta salad), throat sweets (gave in and took the sugar hit), taste buds working - everything tastes wonderful.11 -
Forgot to post yesterday but it was a spend day as OH and I decided to get a pizza. I used my blue light card for a discount if that helps! Got loads of steps in yesterday at work but no official workout. Also no decluttering.
Today has been a NSD, did yoga first thing before work. Logged off at lunchtime as I was owed some time for working on my non-working day. Posted the bear I'd sold and decluttered a now-empty (and half-eaten by rabbits!) cardboard box into the recycling. Went to the gym for a bit and then back home as am on call this evening. NSD today, have been through my finances as we're midway through the month, everything is on track.10 -
Evening allWork day today, so I didn't go to the shops (except for the one I work in). OH went to the garden centre though, as we needed a stake for a little tree whose original one had rotted and broken off, and it was getting buffeted by the wind. Not worth risking losing a productive apple tree for the lack of a stake. He didn't buy anything else though. Just as well he went on his own as I always have problems resisting all the lovely plants!Made an effort to tidy lots of odds and ends away before work, some books, next year's diary which had been delivered by the milkman, some receipts, dry laundry etc. Also ordered a repeat prescription, and checked the banks.I had eggs that needed using up, so I made a frittata after work, for dinner. I added some peppers, spring onions, tomatoes, a leftover cooked potato and a chopped chilli, plus some chopped chorizo and grated parmesan. Plenty left over for lunch tomorrow too.Grateful for feeling a bit more organised at home, a sunny day for once, and a fairly peaceful day at work.10

NSD11 because I was babysitting the builders. I now have a new height ceiling on the landing, in the bathroom, and the upstairs toilet, and above that, I have floorboards! ..... and a bathroom caked in brick dust and plaster dust. They swept and hoovered, but it is a damp-dusting job and after 4 or 5 sessions it will be clean again. So did the first washdown, all the walls/ tiles/ doors / cupboards/ countertops, and the floor before supper, will do it again in the morning and again at lunchtime, and I should see a vast improvement by then. The builders should not need to come through the house again, they can get in through the roof on Monday if the scaffolders extend it a bit.NSD11 for me, need to go to the chemist to pick up meds tomorrow that were not there for me on Tuesday.Grateful for it being the weekend, for two builder-free days to rest and recuperate, for having the bathroom back, and for having plans.Hugs to all not feeling well, or who are waiting for NHS appointments, waiting is rotten. Not found my ho-ho-ho yet, not had a mice pie yet, not had a festive sandwich, and not got my tree up either!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I managed 2 NSDs this week. Pretty pleased with that.
Tonight I've mostly spent in the kitchen. I made a chocolate and banana cake for my book event tomorrow. We've also heard there's a Doctor Who event in town so we'll pop to that first.
My builder frustration is that I keep booking people to come and quote me and they keep cancelling. Or not even cancelling, just forgetting to come. 2 of them today!Keep reading books!

Glad to hear good experiences of Germany @lcc86 and @Toni'sfriend.
Today I sorted annual travel insurance. The best deal was to upgrade our current account to a monthly fee account. The cheapest travel insurance on comparison sites was over £180 for us, but the account upgrade was £156 with extra benefits that are useful. The monthly £13 has been added to the budget spreadsheet. In the last couple of days, I’ve also renewed our membership with the health club. We’re all really enjoying and making good use of it so it’s staying and it’s also been added to the spreadsheet.Grateful today for budget sheet from MSE that I’ve been using for years and it’s always kept me right, for OH prepping dinner, for Mum taking DS for a swim, and for a warm cosy home.Declutter 60 items:

Evening turtles, I was on call again this morning but didn't have to go in, although did have to deal with a couple of things over the phone.
Did a bit of reshuffling around in the spare room to accommodate my new aquarium (it's only small but needed its own spot). Decluttered one of the hallway cupboards and got rid of some very very old seeds, a drill that doesn't work, a broken handbag and a couple of other bits. Also did a couple 0f small DIY jobs that have needed doing for YEARS but just haven't got round to. Feel so much better now that those jobs are finally ticked off!
Bought a few bits that I needed for the new aquarium, but all planned and budgeted for.10 -
These steroids must be having an effect of Himself. He's done all his Christmas shopping and It's only November . Amazon van arrived at lunchtime, Half of it was what he'd ordered. All mine on Christmas morning
He's also tidied his wardrobe, Been nagging him for months, Nobody needs that number of jackets and he's done a bit of tidying. Found a couple of suits belonging to the Boy, Won't fit any more so I've asked him if he's happy for me to take them to the charity shop and he's just said yes.
Done lots of bits and bobs. It's been a productive day. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Spend day again today, as I needed bread and milk. Also bought some things for my brother. DD and kids came round this morning, but before they arrived, OH and I had put a chicken casserole in the SC for dinner, and prepped and cooked veg for roasting and for a mixed veg mash to add to dinners during the coming week. I had the rest of the contents of Tuesday's Lidl veg box to use upWent to see my brother in the afternoon. He was concerned because he has been sent an appointment for a video consultation with the further, big city hospital. I'm sure I can sort him out with that, but they do make the assumption, don't they, that everyone both has access to the internet and the requisite technology, and the knowledge to use it, and older, poorer people don't necessarilyThe chicken casserole was yummy and there is enough left for another meal10
