Tuesday went okay until about 5:00. I was so dizzy I had to hold on to the door when feeding the door. And trying to walk through the house was a problem - no way I could make it to the FamilySearch Center. Ended up going to bed for several hours. Have several doctors' appointments lined up for the end of of November and the beginning of December.
Wednesday started off relatively okay. Took roommate G to the bank. Then shopping for turkey and other odds and ends at Aldi's. So not a NSD for me. Then home. Weather people said it would rain about 11:30. Started a bit earlier. I started working on the computer. But there was thunder - so I turned it off. And a few minutes later the power went off - for an hour and a half. Good timing. I started reading by flashlight pretending it was by candlelight. By the end of the day I had finished two mystery books. Still slightly dizzy tonight. Will go to bed early. Rain to continue for the next few days. Not always so strong but some areas are getting hail. Tomorrow is last "get ready for book sale" day. Need to make a few signs in the morning and finish my drawing of how to set up the rooms. Tomorrow we will need to load some more onto carts. And finish getting ready to move everything into place Friday morning.
My cleaning fairies have gone on extended vacation and have sublet the house to the Messy Gremlins.8 -
Hello, I have just finished catching up after a few days of absence while I was away in my hometown, and wanted to wish all the best to everyone who has been (or still is) poorly, or who is taking care of someone.
So I spent the weekend abroad visiting family, and unfortunately most of them were home sick with Covid, so I only saw a very limited portion of the family, but I did manage to see my mum on the last day, which at least is something. They are now all mostly recovered, for which I'm grateful, and hopefully I will be able to see them all in a little bit more than a month.
As often happens, coming back to normal life after having been away (even for a short time) means I have been playing catch up for this entire week, and haven't done much of what I wanted or needed to do!
A few updates- I have now done 10 NSD's.
- decluttering hasn't progressed since I last wrote, but I want to go through all my books before Tuesday, and take the ones I have already read and know I will not read again down to the pub where we do the book club, as they've set up a bookshelf of shared books.
- I finally finished the cardigan for OH, it looks great, although on the short side, so I will re-open the rib and ad a few cm length. But I'm not going to think about it until January, as I have no time now to go back to that
- have done a bit of progress in preparing stock for the Christmas craft fair, but had a bit of a setback yesterday, as I had to unravel an entire crochet basket because I wasn't happy on how it was looking. A bit gutted, as it was the work of an entire evening and a bit of the night, and I'm starting to be on a tight schedule now. I suspect it was because it's recycled T-shirt tape yarn and the weight is not uniform from one roll to the other, and I changed colour mid-way, and the new colour was much thicker than the old one, so I've decided to try again with just one colour tonight. Wish me luck.
Looking forward to a peaceful and warm (thanks to central heating) evening.

NSD 10 because I could not leave the builders, because they kept leaving the front door wide open. They are working on the first floor, so anyone could have just walked in off the street and robbed us, so I had to camp out in the front room all day, and keep closing the door, but I get to double figures so I claim a win for me!Had to cancel volunteering though, but I need to take a step back anyway, it is draining me, I am not enjoying it, and I need to think if I can carry on in the new year. I don't think I can do it much longer.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Tried to add more direction and focus to my tidying so another bag of sewing, other things grouped (there are still some parts of the room I can't access easily). DS3 was downstairs so I took a chance on taking books and warm socks back to the library. found more books quickly but one wouldn't go through checkout. Took it to the desk and it was free. They are giving away large print 'romance' and western novels (there were notices but I was looking down at the books so didn't see it). Picked 3 more as I'd only taken a small bag. I will go back and find more but will keep them on one side - then if I'm too ill to get to the library I still have books to read.
I've been working steadily for the rest of the afternoon but my knees are buckling so I've stopped. I wanted to finish the bed but have just moved some of the bagged up stuff so I can get to the bathroom safely. I nearly ended up on the floor earlier. I now have more than half the bed and can sleep full length, so that's ok for now.
Grateful for easy food especially ice cream ice lollies, books and getting there slowly10 -
Yesterday I did some yoga before work. Got quite a few steps in whilst on playground duty. Had s nap.fir 29 mins when I got home, set up my stall for the craft fayre, then altered a jumpsuit. Watched DS1's last Italy video before falling into bed.
Today I left the house at 9am & didn't return til just after 8pm. Work went ok, then straight on to the craft fayre. DH had stood in for me for s couple if hours, til I arrived. He's sold a few things, so that was good, I sold a few more. Donated one of my bears for a prize at bingo, which is raising funds for a children's hospital. Absolutely shattered when I got home, will unload the car before work tomorrow. Had a bath & nodded off in it! Need to take thjngs easy for a while now.
Grateful for delicious coconut surprise (in payment for repairing a split coat seam), selling things at the fayre, time to start relaxing, looking forward to Wool Club with my friend tomorrow night & a good catch upUse it up, wear it out

Idee - I'm another person who loves Germany. Frankfurt has a lovely old town square. Looks like it's been built from lego. And (if it is still there) a fantastic restaurant just near the tourist information. Pork chops and sausages. So good. Nothing opens till lunch time on a Sunday so we took a little tootle on a boat down the river watching the world go by with a glass of wine. Highly recommended .
Sorry, not checked in for a couple of days but all is going well. Lots of cleaning and decluttering. Biopsy scheduled for 22 December, Just before Christmas. Oh well, it is what it is.
Have a god evening. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Today it was a spendy day, as I had to buy some more supplies for the craft fair I'm doing in December with a friend./ Only three weeks away now, we had a call today to check on stock production and admin things, and we are getting pretty excited, it's our very first one! Any type of advice is very welcome!
I also bought tickets for my stepson to visit us during the holidays, he will stay until the 3rd January, something lovely to look forward to, I might even take a couple of days off work after New Year so we can do some nice stuff together as a family.
Tomorrow I set aside the day to do Christmas decorations on video conference with my nephew and sister-in-law. It's a (new) tradition we started last year, and it was nice and fun, to spend a bit of time together despite being far away. I know it's a bit early to decorate, but I do love seeing my house decorated for Christmas, and with me flying to my mum's house on the 22nd until the 31st Dec I always try and decorate early, so I can enjoy the pretty decorations for a bit longer.
So this afternoon I asked OH to accompany me to the garage (which is on the other side of the road, so not exactly close) to take the tree and the decorations boxes out. They are all safely on the landing, waiting for tomorrow. I am excited and I know my nephew is too, so this is always good for the spirit.
Sunday I have my volunteering, looking forward to it as it's been a couple of weeks since I last went.
This evening I hope to have enough time to go and do some grocery shopping, and then I need to finish crocheting one of the baskets for the fair and I want to prepare the pile of books to bring to the pub next Tuesday when I go to the crochet club.
