After much internal resistance I got myself back to yoga after a 6 or 7 week absence. Was good to get back. I didn't go to the gym too which I usually would, but just congratulated myself for that step, and had a snug day indoors. Made up a healthy salad and actually used what I had in. Did need to pop out to get some fruit and herbs. Forgot milk but will try and stick to my alternate NSD and survive until Tuesday. Trying to be mindful of my thoughts and what I am putting out into the Universe! Managed to chip £8.14 off one of my CC with spare money I had in my account.
KKAs at 15.07.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
- OPs to mortgage = £11,816 Interest saved £5,28 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

Forgot to post this yesterday:
I managed the extra £20 mortgage OP from my Sunday Sweep of budget underspends but not much else. Saturday was grocery delivery day and yesterday I booked a hotel for OH and I for the start of next year in Edinburgh where we will be going to see a musical.
I posted a few v!ntD sales and added another three items to my declutter list. Not quite managing two items a day but it feels good to be getting a few things moved out and recouping a few pennies.
Staying on NSD 2.
Grateful today for DS getting better after sickness and barky cough, for stunning Autumn colours and weather, free audiobooks from the library, and for teacher friend giving me some old workbooks to do with DS at home.

Hi I have known this was coming for a while. I have had to call sick into work to get some work finished! It is not great and technically I have had time to do the work at work, but my concentration is shut down and I am supposed to work in a staffroom with 30 people in it, in two floors. It is just not ideal. I feel I am stressed beyond what I can handle. in the first instance I am taking 2 days, as I don't have a contract for 4 days, only 3 days, even though I work 4 days. This contract have been held up since June!
I suspect I will end up taking a whole week, but time will tell. I am not one to take sick days, but here I am.
In terms of 'doing November' I have barely started, but I am trying to give away 2 study pillows and I did a deep clean of most of ds1's room on Saturday, still need to do a cupboard and 2 bookshelves, but that will take about a day and a lot of energy!
Grateful for a warm house.
Update - so far on my day off sick I have been to the doctors who gave me antibiotics and steroids! And more blood tests, so I am not imagining that I am tired and wheezy.
Ds 1 got a new double duvet - jubilations for snug and warm winter nights.
My tap which has been dripping for more than 4 weeks have been replaced, and potentially my drippy radiator will be fixed as well.
And I have marked 1.5 assignment out of 12! Slow progress. I feel my house have been like St Pancras on a day with a train strike and everybody milling about trying to work out what to do. Not much better than staff room, but at least it is progress on my life, not gossip about projects at work that I have been side-lined from!
Still grateful for a dryer house, and an end to water waste!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

What a dreadful day. It's been raining heavily since the early hours.
- Health and Wellbeing - I was intending to go to Aldi and buy some more plants but it was too wet. Made some lentil and bacon soup for lunch tomorrow. My plan to get Himself to eat seems to be working as is going to bed early instead of sitting up half the night. He seems calmer but still not steady on his feet. A little at a time.
- Household - Bits and bobs but it is looking so much better and I feel the better for it.
- Garden - Storage arrived. It looks good but the drawers aren't big enough to store compost. However, there is lots of space for everything else - seeds, tools, etc. I could just put the compost between the unit and the fence and it would be fine. Too late to start today.
- Declutter - More gone, more organised. Taken a bin bag upstairs to put all the little bits in.
- Socialise - This is getting a little difficult because Himself isn't really fit for it but it will come in time
Just feeling more contented.
Hugs to everyone. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.14 -
Sorry I've been awol - not much sparkle going on here as I've been poorly for a week 🤦♀️ however, I think I'm finally over the worst now so I'm hoping for normal service to resume soon 🤞
I've bagged up 8 bags of buckwheat and lentils to donate to the community fridge and arranged with my dd for her to take 4 no longer used duvets to the local wildlife rescue centre - that's 12/60 once they've left the house!
I started on one of YWA's 30 day series today - I'm doing Breath as it feels like it's going to be more in line with the self-care I'm concentrating on....I haven't started my daily walks yet as I'm still feeling exhausted and making it worse is not the plan!
Now that I'm eating again, I've been doing really well with food - salad leaves, mixed grains, fruit and beans are mainly being eaten.
NSD'S - think I'm on 10 now 🤔 will have to check but I'm reasonably confident!
Gratitudes - to be feeling a bit better; dh looking after me since I became unwell; managing day one of Breath; warm house; chamomile tea and a comfy sofa!! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000
JSF: £708.58/£1000

I managed a NSD yesterday by a miracle, and looks like today might be one too, but let's not count chickens.
I'm currently trying an experimental pork belly dish that should see us through to tomorrow's dinner as well. I used an adapted Jamie Oliver caramelised pork belly recipe, but left the skin on, and I'm now seeing if the skin will crisp up a little like crackling, though I fear it may be a little too marinaded. Also got cajun chicken drumsticks (drumsticks with a few spices on top) in the oven for OH's lunches for the next 2 days.
Freezer is a tad empty, so tomorrow will need to go shopping to suit my meal plan.
Will get some flour and passata, plus a bit of mozzarella to prep some pizza dough for Wednesday. Or might just get pizza... I'm hosting a zoom meeting so need something quick and easy. Thursday, thinking readymade southern fried chicken from the freezer, plus wedges, then an aubergine curry, Bombay aloo and rice on Fakeaway Friday. Saturday, I have an event, so something brunchy, then buffet food the rest of the day. Sunday, roast chicken!
Decluttering: a couple of bags and an exercise weight have gone in the charity bag.
So that's 10 clothes items to Hasta recycling
1 top, 1 finger puppet and 1 broken keyring binned.
15 clothes items waiting to go to Hasta
2 bags and a weight waiting to go to charity
So that's 30/60 so far.Keep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.

Staying on NSD 2 after buying healthier snacks for DS. He’s had mountains of treats since Halloween and is now expecting them every day and has a mini meltdown if not getting any… nipping it in the bud with apple slices and dairy dunkers!
Grateful today for OH working from home to help occupy DS who was off school due to an in service day, for OH making me lunch, coffee and tea (🎵what a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man 🤣) and for a new interesting audiobook from the library about the lives of the five women who were victims of the Ripper.

No NSD here as had a planned haircut at my local college, £9 spent. Absolute bargain but did take 2 hours for a trim. Luckily I had the morning off work (was meant to be my non-working day but had to do a visit in the afternoon). Made it to the gym this morning as well.
Work was pretty straightforward this afternoon, got back and jumped into the bath before dinner. Also bought myself a new aquarium, an early Christmas present (to myself lol). But budgeted for so not an issue.
Decluttered a jumper with a massive burn hole in it, I kept it to wear around the house but literally haven't worn it for a year so I decided to put it in the textile collection. Also put myself forward as a hair model for a fancy salon in London so hopefully when my hair needs dyeing again I can get it cheap!11 -
Accidental NSD8. Got a text message late last night to ask if I could give my naughty 80 year old boys a lift to and from volunteering. So did not go near a shop and supper was corn and cheesy pasta with garlic peppers instead .
