Sorry I have been awol. Last week was very stressful with healthcare appointments for me, and a hospital appointment with my brother, who unfortunately has lung cancer. He needs a procedure in a big city hospital some distance away rather than the smaller, closer city. I am hoping that we can get transport to get him there, as I am not up to driving that far.I have lost track of NSDs. I am buying what my brother needs, as well as our own shopping, and extra fuel for hospital appointments. I realise that I am lucky to be able to help him out a bit financially.I have spent today cooking, really to use up bits and pieces that were languishing in the fridge and larder. I now have: 2 fruit crumbles, using up some elderly apples from fruit bowl. Also added the last quince from the tree, and some loganberries from the freezer; 2 fruit loaves (used up a lemon and some dried up mixed fruit); leek and potato soup to use elderly leeks, and I roasted some peppers, onions and the last few courgettes to top naan bread pizzas. I still have some odd things to use up, so will need to get my thinking cap on! I must also freeze one crumble and one fruit loaf for laterGrateful today for not feeling awful after yesterday's covid jab, my brother having an ok day, and avoiding food waste (and having nice things to eat).13

Sending my best wishes to your brother, Dawn
Thank you all for your concern. GF feeling much better today now that the medication is beginning to kick in. She's just sick of eating tomato soup!- Health and Wellbeing - Had a bit off a day off today because I've done quite a lot over the past few days. Glad to say that Himself seems to be eating better. I've been watching Harry Potter. I must be the only person on the planet who has never seen them. They are quite entertaining.
- Household - Put the cushion covers and throws back on. They smell lovely and fresh but why do they always seem smaller when you're trying to put the inserts back in.
- Garden - Another plant which was past it's best gone.
- Declutter - Been a bit lazy with this today but I'll make up for it tomorrow.
- Socialise - Nothing really apart from watching Harry Potter with himself
Must be the GF being so much better after all the trauma of yesterday.
NSD No 5, I think.
Have a lovely evening. xxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Sending positive vibes to your brother @DawnW
Up early to go horse riding this morning, did get caught in the rain a bit but not too bad. Went straight from there to a pub lunch with friends and OH, was really lovely to catch up and socialise.
Spend day on lunch, a couple of aquarium plants, and a new tunnel for the rabbits as they've chewed their one to bits. No decluttering today but a few bits in mind to get rid of tomorrow.10 -
£5 spend in Herr Ron today so staying on NSD7. I have a 5 item shopping list ready for tomorrow and that should do me all next week. But I wanted to walk down to Ron's to see the ys bread 🍞🍞 and ended up getting something DH mentioned he wanted for his recipe for tonight. Raised the step count anyway.
Cleaned and Hoovered top two floors and down to the bottom step. Stole their laundry. Checked for roof leaks (none yet). Did copious loads of laundry using the dryer because a) it is raining here, and b) we had to take the washing line off the pulley when the scaffolding went up. The towels dry in an hour over the landing bannister though. The line will be back up soon.
So staying on NSD 7 today and tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Good Evening🌘
After much internal resistance I got myself back to yoga after a 6 or 7 week absence. Was good to get back. I didn't go to the gym too which I usually would, but just congratulated myself for that step, and had a snug day indoors. Made up a healthy salad and actually used what I had in. Did need to pop out to get some fruit and herbs. Forgot milk but will try and stick to my alternate NSD and survive until Tuesday. Trying to be mindful of my thoughts and what I am putting out into the Universe! Managed to chip £8.14 off one of my CC with spare money I had in my account.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My yoga teacher and for making the class so affordable
2) Time at home, and a proper recharge day
3) For all the people who produce and act in the shows I like to watch
Today = NSD number 2 still.
Have a lovely evening, and see you tomorrow x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Sending hugs to you & your brother @DawnW. Hope you feel better soon @grandmanerd.
Had a lie in, which was much needed after such a busy week. Took the bull by the horns & messaged my work bestie to see if I've done something to upset her. She wasn't aware I'd been feeling like an afterthought. I did feel bad for making her feel bad, but proud of myself for being proactive & not just putting up with it! I did shed a tear or 3 though - blasted hormones!!
DH helped me replace the bulb in my car headlight, then I raked some leaves up & did a couple more outside jobs. After dinner, I walked 4.5 miles with DH, then worked my way through a bag of sewing.
Printed off a claim form for our cats visit to the vets last month, DH can drop it in to the vets tomorrow when he's in town.
A quick bath after tea, then watched DS1"s first video from his Italy trip. It was really good & it was great to see him smile.
Grateful for standing up for myself, time outside & my son smiling on his adventuresUse it up, wear it out
