I am relieved to say that I did not get the job. I did get a rather rude email saying only 3 candidates bothered to turn up to interview and none of them stood out. They were obviously looking for someone exceptional... or possibly mythical. Spent the afternoon terrified that I had got the job 🤣🤣🤣 so finding my rejection email was a joy.I always thought puggled was really tired. That’s how I use it.Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh @Toni'sfriend" xxI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Phew, a lucky escape there then @f0xh0les! Hope you danced round the kitchen to celebrate!
Glad you had a good time away @Toni'sfriend.
I miss-counted NSDs yesterday, I'm on 5.
Didn't exercise today, got on with the rest of my routine a bit quicker, so was able to stuff my (fabric( chicken before breakfast. A good day at work until the last 10 mins, but didn't let it phase me as the rest of the day had gone well! Walked to the shop near school & used the last 21p of dividend to buy a pack of spaghetti, so it only cost me 26p.
After a quick look at my phone, I got my sewing machine out & sewed the other 2 chickens. They've also been stuffed & ready for the hand stitching & name/hobbies labels.
Grateful for the last 10 minutes not escalating too much, laughter at lunchtime, a sunny but chilly dayUse it up, wear it out

NSD6 - Went with a fellow Board Member to hear what other Friends of the Library groups were up to. Amazing how different they are. We plan to meet every three months or so to talk over how to raise more money. Invited them all to our book sale next week. It will be inside as we are expecting a lot of rain here next week.
Tomorrow will be another spend day - need to take roommate G grocery shopping, but also have to put gas in the car first and then buy jam for my sandwiches and dog bones. Unless I can get D to pay for it along with her order she has given me as she isn't walking well right now.
Saturday should be a stay-at-home day. Sunday we will make a trip to put up Christmas trees at my sister's house. This is the start of the holiday season for me.
Hope you are all feeling better this month.11 -
Forgot to post yesterday but here's yesterday's check in. It was a planned spend day as shopping was being delivered, so I took the opportunity to buy 2 Xmas gifts that I'd earmarked. OH always gets pizza from a little van across the road on a thursday, said I'd join him this week but he didn't wait for me to get back from work, so I only had to pay for myself! Used my blue light card and so it only cost £8.92.
My previous employer is currently hiring, I'm relatively happy in my job and said to myself I'd only consider leaving for the right opportunity that involved progression, I'll have to have a think about this one as it ticks a lot of boxes. Organisationally they're MUCH better than my current employer (and not bankrupt which helps), but the day to day isn't as meaty... food for thought.
No decluttering yesterday as I keep leaving the stuff that needs to go outside on the kitchen table!11 -
Beanie - With the amount of whisky he drank he was very tired most of the time. Maybe that was where my Mother got the word from. She was the only person I ever knew who used it. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9

Dodged a bullet there, definitely.Slates are merrily being banged onto the roof. Ridge tiles have gone up, so I assume they are nearly finished.Just have to remind them they have filled the guttering on the middle floor full of slate chips, and those need to go because the windows at the front on that floor only have a tiny opening at the top and I don't fancy going up a ladder that high. The sun is shining but brr it is chilly here, down to single figures at last.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Back to normal today
- Health and Wellbeing - A little bit of a walk to the shops. Positives - My skin is looking good and I'm managing my new hairstyle pretty well. Minus - I just can't seem to shed the pounds. I look decidedly lumpy. Must redouble my efforts.
- Household - Did masses of things today. Very productive, Made chicken noodle soup for lunch. Enough left for tomorrow.
- Garden - Nothing today. I really need some kind of storage for compost, etc. I've been looking but haven't found anything yet.
- Declutter - Been in the cupboard of doom again. More sneaked into the bin. Space appearing
- Socialise - Met some neighbours whilst we were out and had a chat with them. Other than that it's been quiet.
Cold, frosty day but the pavement was definitely sparkling.
Just enjoying a cup of green tea and then I'll be off to make dinner. Trout , broccoli and new potatoes. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Evening everyone 🌘
Got home yesterday from a lovely break down south to recharge and recuperate. It definitely did the job, and had the chance to catch up with some lovely friends again. Turned out to be a spendy week (I knew it would be!) but as haven't had a proper break in years I will forgive myself. Struggled to get on here so decided to wait until I got home. Am all caught up and raring to go.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My friends in Somerset for putting me up and looking after me
2) The lovely experiences I had and reconnecting with my old home
3) Coming home to my little apartment and enjoying my space

Will be on an NSD drive from tomorrow onwards!!!

Evening turtles
Busy day at work today catching up with admin but no spends, huzzah! I also decluttered our empty pizza boxes from last night, some other cardboard recycling and an old damaged art set that I haven't used since I was about..... 15 I think lol.
I am on call tonight but currently at home praying the phone doesn't ring. Thought I was on call tomorrow as well but checked the rota this afternoon and I'm not, which is fab! I plan to declutter the hallway cupboards a bit more hopefully.
I decided to put an application in to my old employer, I thought what the hell it can't hurt. They do anonymised applications so there's no bias and no guarantee of anything, we shall see.11 -

Got the invoice already, for £4k more than we agreed - they have forgotten I took one roof off the quote. Ho hum, nice try, sent a resubmit and try again email.I have building control lined up, Mr Builder should be here on Monday but he has not answered any texts or emails this week, so we will see. Why do they have to be so shonky?NSD 74/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
