Ditty, sounds like you are proper poorly. Have the chaise longue for a few days.Today I am grateful for dh contacting the Dr and getting more antibiotics, for the Dr calling him later to make an appointment for later this week, for finishing 4 mini elves, for a fascinating utube video about the Levantadores - stone lifters in the Basque country, for the gorgeous colours on the trees.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!12

Thanks @beanielou x
Didn't exercise today as had extra things to do before work, due to DH catching the bus to town for his hospital appointment. He said the towels on the line were quite dry by the time he got back & took them in before the rain started.
Work went well. Left a bit early to take DS3 for his op. Drove all the way into town, to be told the surgeon wasn't working today & he's been rescheduled for next Monday! Had received an appointment in the post, but no mention of a cancellation, thought it was for a post op check! Not very amused!! DS went to see his GF, & I went to see mum. Her sister isn't doing too well in hospital, still not found the route of her problems yet either.
One of the cats seemed to be in pain after tea, phoned the vet, who gave me 3 very different possibilities, but discouraged me from taking her in to be seen tonight. Cat seems a bit more settled now, but will see how she is in the morning. Watched another of DS1's holiday vids, he can be quite funny, & the scenery was lovely. Replaced a zip in a coat, so that's a bag full of things finished & out the house 😊 very tired now though.
Bag if wooden beads donated to school. Newspaper clipping to a colleague too
Well done @f0xh0les on the first lot of trades finishing 🎉
Grateful for cat improving, freedom to do laps of the school at breaktime (general supervision rather than focussing on 1 pupil), chatting with mum & making plans with her for the weekendUse it up, wear it out

Today was a spendy day so my total so far is 9 NSD versus 4 spendy days. Realized I had managed to get through the whole week last week with zero spends. Only two bills left to go - and I will be able to pay them on Wednesday. Not done any non-planned spending.
I wrote up my plans - but Someone had other ideas. Meant to go to sister's last week - but nephew needed to move things. Arranged to go this Saturday - but now postponed until Sunday. At least the rain should be over by then. Our car doesn't do well in the rain and neither does the driver (me). Roommate Di is to go with me but she doesn't drive on freeways - and we haven't found an alternate route yet. It was postponed as we have a funeral to attend on Saturday - a friend who was 97 and still on our library Board. Next youngest is 93. One died last year who was 103. Her daughter 86 is our current treasurer and still going strong. Reading keeps you going. Did manage to complete the plans for today though. Trying to do Mrs. S_D's suggestion of three things planned for the day.
Today was trash day so a number of things went out. I also took three bags full of other plastic bags to the library for our book sale. We have a lot more to take also. Added several books to the library box. Once I read them, I am giving them to the library unless I really think I will reread it.
Helped my roommate Di deal with a strange letter she got telling her she didn't qualify for her health insurance policy (she does). Got it straightened out. She is on the Autism Spectrum and doesn't handle calls well.
Our work at the public library gives us access to free bottles of water. I have been refilling them at home and have been avoiding soda drinks entirely for a week now. Also remembering to take afternoon pills has helped with the neuropathy.
We're expecting rain this week. Understand some of you are getting a lot of it. Hope everyone can stay warm and dry.

A few more baby steps. Rubbish and recycling out to the bins then flattened boxes and paper sacks full of junk mail and scraps. Brought in nearly everything left on the line and gave it a 9 minute spin (there were 2 items at the far end of the line right up against the back wall - tough in daylight, not at all safe in the dark). A further trip to the bins with 2 lengths of packing paper. I may regret this but I have 3 lengths stashed wrapped around rolls of wrapping paper and these were more of a nuisance and hiding other stuff.
Gathered all my odd pennies and started next year's penny challenge. I had tried to order foo (big shop) on Sunday but when I got to the end I was reminded that they don't deliver on Sundays so abandoned my trolley. Had a rethink Monday and did an order after trying about 5 outlets (some of the 'essentials' were oos or they don't do them (the 'd' is sticking, I have to keep backtracking but better than yesterday when I was continually losing signal).
Cleared some things from the vestibule before the food delivery, ate a fish pie from the freezer (also thankful for soup and baked potatoes). On Sunday I was taking some pots back to the kitchen and DS3 said to put them in the DW. I did and then added bits from 3 other bags so it was full. Empty bags were brought upstairs for more 'like with like' tidying. DS3 had set the DW going
Food arrived and all the freezer stuff (ice lollies) and fridge stuff was put away. I'm not sure it was the best shop but I have fresh fruit, lots of crunchy veg to eat raw, yoghurts, block and spread cheese, bread and wraps and added a couple of tubs of sandwich filling - will have on wraps without marg and add chopped up celery, peppers etc (still nursing the sore throat).
Black and green bins will go out tonight so want to work on those. Hoping to get 5 bin bags into one bin but they had put one in and I put the sleeping bag someone had dumped into another. Should get at least 2 more in (hoping it doesn't pour down) and want to get more in the green bin.
Grateful for feeling a bit better, tottering up and down the yard until my thighs ached, books and drama series (until the internet cutting out every five minutes made me give up), making very slow progress10 -
Thanks Apple, I'll be on the divan for a couple of more days. I'm not planning on going back to work until Thursday. I'm still catching up with work and random organisational chores at home, but nothing overly energetic.
I think I managed an extra NSD day yesterday as I only paid for medication.
Grateful for a warm house, for wifi being back on and for having done 2 years of paying into my private pension. And for a colleague texting me from work to check in.
Have a Totally Terrific Tuesday all !
... And I was very proud of getting though vacuuming the rest of the house yesterday, but guess what - today the guys changed a valve in an upstairs radiator and have walking up and down with their boots on for the last hour! But it is done and I will have an other quick swish later. One thing ticked off.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Productive plodding. Three drawers gone through, tidied and added to (clothes mountain vanished). One nearly full bin bag - trawling back and forth across the floor and under the bed where I can. Found 2 pairs of warm socks yesterday, they were bought last year an never made it upstairs (they've been buried behind boxes of LPs) so they will go in the bag for the food bank trolley at the library.
One pair of gloves to be donated, one old towel to be binned. I wasn't sure if it was a white towel which had tangled with something green or a turquoise towel with most of the colour leached out. It has now been in touch with bleach or the mould remover and has orangey yellow patches.
A quick dive into the corner and baby's duplo farm set has been decanted into a Peter Rabbit suitcase. I've checked and the playmat backing material is bigger than the felt (with enough for bindings if I'm careful). Two more big boxes to come out of that corner and then I'll slide the chest of drawers across into the corner and push the bed across the room. The mattress can't be flipped (it has a top side and a designated bottom side) but if I push it across the room I can use the side which has been the foot end so far and will be able to take off the headboard which is being collected by the Council on the 23rd.
All done with regular breaks to accommodate wild coughing and sneezing fits and resting with State of Play (the original BBC series rather than the Hollywood remake). Started a bag for books to go back to the library and will find one for 'wires' (one is headphones, no clue about the others but they're definitely not mine).
Grateful for wraps, sandwich filling and a green pepper, things bought at random times fitting together, books an dramas for relaxing.8 -
Accidental NSD9. went to dentist 10am, was 20 minutes early, so trawled 3 charity shops and found ... nada.Dentist combined my filling with my 6 month check up which was booked in for next week. £70.70 later - but necessary medical expense - my face has only just stopped being numb in the last half hour. She was not messing about!! Anyway, that is that over until May next year - did not get excited about adding that one to the diary.Could not face going shopping after nearly an hour and a half of face drilling, just wanted to come home and hoover the lounge and tidy up a bit (obviously the side effects of the drugs - don't do drugs turtles! it is the gateway to dusting! and ironing! and other perverse recreational anti-social activities).4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today has been taken up with my first visit to the asthma specialist. Lovely man. Apparently I have some kind of weird, rare pneumonia but it's slowly responding to treatment. Some good news!!!!
Quite agree, f0xh0les. I've been ironing at six in the morning. It's not normal. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
I just paid for my new roof. Do I keep my NSD as it was a planned spend with the money set aside in a separate account? Ouch but it hurt to transfer the money.
Plan to board out my loft myself and pay someone to enlarge the hatch and install the ladder. Will save myself around £1000 if I DIY although DH is firmly in the GALMI camp. Tough!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Go @f0xh0les, you can do it! Then spend the £1000 on carpet/furniture & a big treat for all your hard work! 😃
Thankfully !!!!!! cat M is feeling ok today, so vet appointment cancelled & diesel saved X2 trips. NSD#8.
Work not too bad, apart from heaving myself over a wall & legging it after an escapee (that wasn't my 1:1). Had a nice chat with the secretary after work, never get chance for it just to be us, as the auxiliary is usually around! Dropped some felt decorations at a friend working in the PO in my way home & a little natter/laugh with her.
Sat for 10 minutes catching up on my phone, then set to in my bedroom. Relisted 2 pairs of curtains on FB. Made them cheaper & they were snapped up! Better to have less money for them, than £0 & still be looking at them at the foot of my bed for weeks! Being collected tomorrow. Identified more things to donate/sell/store for next summer. So a clearer corner of the room 😃
Watched #3 of DS1's travel visa, then shortened a pair of trousers. Long soak in the bath with a facemask, so another sachet used up.
Grateful for not falling over or getting stuck on the wall, laughter, less stuff in my bedroom, sharing DS's trip with himUse it up, wear it out
