I'm hoping Twiggy is just on jury service/having a relaxing week or two off from everything and recovering from all the upset, but if we haven't heard anything in another week maybe we could ask MSE to send an email? People are of course entitled to not post but given the ex's behaviour and it having been his deadline to move out, I can't help but be worried about Twiggys welfare4

Good morning,
Just stopping by to see if there's any news. It's been a couple of weeks since Twiggy posted any updates, so hoping everything is well and Twiggy is busy enjoyed the freedom of home in the runup to Christmas....4 -
I’m so sorry for going awol and am so touched that you guys were worrying, sorry for making anyone concerned. Jury service has meant I only had my phone and struggle with posting from there and have also “switched off” slightly. However my MSE ways have remained intact and I am now on the kindly gifted iPad (and have received many other kind gifts over the last week or so!)
So moving day didn’t quite go to plan - got home from jury service to ex begging for another chance. As it was quite late it meant I had to choose between him and a bag on clothes going on the Thursday or giving him an extra night and move out with most of his stuff on the Friday. I chose the latter but made it clear that there wasn’t any more time. He did then leave on the Friday which wasn’t without more begging to stay and a love letter (not in an envelope so clear for me to read) to him through the door from the woman he was cheating on me with (who he had stopped seeing the week before!) So it was incredibly tough emotionally but it has now happened - no money was handed over (I can’t promise there won’t be in the future) and the locks have been changed. Unfortunately he did take our pooch, which makes me sad but it was the right decision for pooch - ex got him weeks before we got together so I’ve always been around but he lived with ex for 6 years before we all moved in together.I have been incredibly well looked after by my friends and family since who have been keeping me busy! My dad has also been busy doing diy at my house - including fixing my shower which makes me soooo happy!!! My parents also gave me £500 which helps lift the pressure of jury service but I’m hoping I can keep it aside to pay for bits and bobs around the house - although I have been gifted a lot of things including flowers, an alexa and smart bulb (friend was thinking of pooch as we’re weren’t sure until the last minute if he would be with me), little security camera, kettle and toaster (bestie was offended by my rubbish kettle!) and some other bits. I wouldn’t wish for the heartbreak but I have to say I feel incredibly loved.Although I don’t have my budget spreadsheet, I created it before I left work and printed it out and have been noting all spends in my notebook. So far I am on track for the month as I have been being sensible - including driving on a night out on Friday (still had great fun). I have also been taking lunch and a thermos to jury service (no you don’t get free hot drinks) so that I can claim the £5.71 per day rather than getting the meal deal from the court cafe. Thankfully most days have been full days at court - meaning I get the full day rate. The only day I wasn’t needed was “actual moving day”, which was a blessing meaning I was here to ensure that it actually happened! From Monday the daily rate goes up, meaning if I do over 4 hours then I will get my normal salary amount. Trial is due to go on until 22nd December and I have to say it’s been a good distraction from “real life”!
I will try to be more active on here again now that I can access the forum properly! Thank you again for all your kind comments xDebt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Ah I'd thought maybe it was a juror-restriction. Glad to read that you're now living alone - so am I. It takes some getting used to, but it's very liberating too.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

twigggggy! I am so pleased to see you back and hear that nothing even more awful has happened. Well done on getting through this incredibly challenging bit, and for keeping an eye out for finances despite it all!
So glad you're okay x
P.S. don't give him any money 😂2 -
New subscriber here and so happy to finally see you post. You are doing amazing. I have been in your position. It gets better xx1

Happy Monday all! As always, thank you for the comments - they really do mean a lot.Todays bits and bobs:
- Make my advent circle - love having a yarn advent and I’m hoping to turn it into a pillow cover. I also sent off an advent (I did a swap) and made myself one but I haven’t started using that yet - hoping to make a second slightly different pillow cover with that if the first one is enough to make a cover one (if not I’ll combine the two into one project)
- Made lunch and a thermos to take to jury service - unfortunately was sent home at 12:30 so I’ll get the lower rate of pay and ate my lunch at home
- Took something out of the freezer for dinner tonight
- Posted something off on my way to court to save a separate journey
- Attempted to do the council tax sole occupancy application but need a reference number so need to search out an old council tax bill before I can complete it!
- Now at home working on a crochet Christmas present for my nephew - hoping to make good progress today. The last couple of weeks have been focussed on making some socks for my friends birthday, so the dragon took a back seat for a while!
- Saw a free game of netball for tonight so I signed up for that (not doing extra games at the moment as it’s an extra £5 each time normally!)
Oh and also my dad was here doing some diy this morning and has said he’ll be back tomorrow to do some more!

So glad ex has now officially exited!
Block his number.
Glad your dad has changed the locks for you and also fixed the shower. Him being in the house will also act as a deterrent to the ex.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1 -
I've been checking in daily in the hope you'd posted after a successful ex-removal exercise
so glad you're ok and being well looked after by friends and family. We're all rooting for you
