Pulling my frugal pants on.

I had a lump and a scan recently Ladybird and they found two small cysts, one of which had been filling with fluid then going down again. Obviously that's just my experience, but all the care, from the receptionist at the surgery, through the GP and all the hospital staff, was superb and really well organised. I had two hands-on examinations (GP and consultant) and both were fairly sure it was a cyst but sent me for further tests: mammogram and ultrasound. It took about ten days for the hospital appointment to come through after the GP referred me (this will I guess vary according to demands on services locally) and about three hours from going into the hospital to having all the readings through and going home. According to staff, although it was only midday, they'd already had six women with the same issue and the same result.
That said, it's the right thing to do, to be checked asap.
What a shame about the lack of good access at your holiday place. I hope the rest works out okay though and waking the tiger isn't too scary!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Your allotment sounds great
I did a garment construction class earlier this year - sadly teacher was away /ill for 4 sessions and then I was away as they had moved the dates - still I loved it and found it very peaceful
want to redo it againDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I’ve still not had chance to sign up to it yet, but is on the priority list for when I get back ladywithaplan.
Fantastic cooked breakfast this morning. Sm shop done and went into local seaside town to see the pier. Glad I didn’t have to pay the £1 each entry fee to literally walk on it. Had a free pass that I had picked up. Would have been better if the sea was in to add to the overall effect. Not overly impressed, I’m sure it was spectacular in its heyday. Enjoyed walking along the promenade, lots of poetry on shelters and beautiful sculptured benches. I suspect on a clear day the views to the islands dotted off the coast would have been stunning.Cost £7 for 4 hours parking plus we got a free hour with the blue badge. I’ve been, I’ve seen but wouldn’t return in a hurry. The plan tomorrow is to go to the local city and to a street art tour, as the local galleries and museums are shut.

Holiday is not going as planned the eldest has been ill,(48hour bug possibly ) and is going home tomorrow. I’m currently feeling very ropey and now the youngest is feeling unwell. Then had a phone call from my half sibling to say an ambulance has been called for dad. We are considering going home as the youngest is likely to be ill for the rest of the week. At least if we go home I know I can leave the youngest at home alone for brief periods, here the signal isn’t great. Mum doesn’t like it here, she unable to walk anywhere (no paths to the village and very fast roads), no buses either so she’s a bit fed up.Hey ho. Need to nibble on a ginger biscuit 🍪.

Thanks everyone. Dad passed away on Thursday. Glad he is no longer suffering from the awful disease he had. We barely slept for ate for 2 days as I didn't want to leave him on his own. We have started clearing his house as we are concerned about people finding out that the house is empty. All valuables have been removed and will be divided up at some point. There is so much to sort, he had so much stuff and was prepared for every eventuality.. Today I'm just relaxing as its been very full on since last week.
