The best fish & chips are Blackpool.  But I can tell you where to get chips & cheese & gravy.  Who ever knew that was a thing.

Yesterday was the last day off part 1 of the holiday. The eldest did park run and ran🏃 it sub 30 minutes, they felt they could of been faster but got caught in a bottle neck at the start. They were very sweaty🥵, glad I wasn't sharing a car with them. However I did share a car with the youngest who woke up full of cold🤒 and feeling very sorry for themselves. Which means we will have to take it in turns stopping at the cottage with them. Hoping they will feel better by Thursday as my dad is coming to celebrate the eldest birthday🎂. If not he won't be able to come as he is on oxygen and can't risk picking up a cold.
Went to sm and this week's food budget plus some is no more😢, but we have lots of fresh fruit, veggies etc to keep us going. I was chuntering to the eldest about the cost of food and they said but we've loads of stuff. They quickly revised their opinion when we got it in their car(mini) and realised no we hadn't bought that much. I suspect we will have to go back later in the week for a top up shop of bread, milk and fruit😳.
Raining all day here, so plan is to have a relaxing day and then when the football is on the eldest and I plan to walk on the beach.
Mmm do I get up and yoga or snuggle back into bed and read my book.

  • I snuggled back into bed and finished my book. The youngest requested cough medince and since I put the kitchen sink in my suitcase instead of medicine it was back to the sm. Surprisingly they have not coughed since🤣.
Had another nap. Then tea and then did something else to avoid watching the football. I guessed we had lost as there was no loud clapping and the TV turned off.
Tomorrow is a new day, 🤞the youngest is well enough to go out.

  • Day has got off to a good start KK. The sun is shining and spent a lovely couple of hours in the garden dodging the suns rays🤣. Do love a bit of shade. Read my book, couple of word searches  done etc. OH and the eldest are preparing for a walk to Flamborough and I'll pick them up later. Youngest still feeling very ropey so I opted to stay here, in my little piece of heaven.

  • Lovely slow day yesterday, the youngest felt well enough to venture outside to the beach. Unfortunately today's plans have been put on hold as they didn't sleep last night. So, today is a garden day, lots of shade bathing, reading and relaxing. Hopefully they will be up to going out later for a meal.
