Leighton Moss sounds wonderful, @ladybird1106. I hope you have a relaxing time today, even if it is complete with authentic Lake District rain.

Half price accommodation is a bonus. :)

It's taken me almost 2 weeks to recover from our holiday and we didn't really walk that far - 16 miles over the whole week. Still trying to get my head🤔 round LS, currently looking at my diet, which is a minefield as I keep forgetting what I can and what I shouldn't eat. Trying to finding new stress busting strategies as life is not easy at the moment and can cause LS to flare up.
Anyway enough of the wallowing😭, time to focus on the future. Today we hopefully will get the first coat of paint on in the front room. It needs a couple of coats of white to neutralise the bright blue and then we can put on the bright happy yellow. It's paint we've had for about 5 years but never got round to doing it. New net curtain arrived yesterday to replace the moldy blinds. The most expensive items were the 3 lights which cost £60 in total. Dad has carpet cleaner. I have a pair of curtains that will fit once altered. The rest of the furniture will stay pretty much the same. Although the TV stand will go, will offer it to the eldest who is currently looking for a house to rent whilst they do their next level of studying. Otherwise it can be sold.
Right yoga🧘 next and then a healthy breakfast.

I was wondering how you were getting on 😊
Sorry you have been having a rough time. The plans for the living room sound excellent - really cheering 😊👏

Thanks KK for caring, lovely thought💜.
So far the room has been sugar soaped, walls not as grim as I thought. Letting it dry before painting. The room is a really cold north east  facing room, so hopefully yellow will make it feel warm psychologically if not physically. OH is taking mil to see fil who was readmitted to hospital yesterday. 🤞his heart op isn't cancelled in a couple of weeks.
    Right lunch time.

It’s coming at you from all directions isn’t it!

Some bright rugs might help the ‘warm’ feeling?

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks KK and LWAP for dropping in.
1st coat is on, another coat to go and then can slap the yellow on top. 3 items identified to go. Will sell 2 and store the other for the eldest.
Made gluten free scones, not bad with lashings of jam and fresh strawberries . Got those whilst doing a quick shop (£31.24). Tea is free sausages  mash and beans (peas for me). All today's jobs done except digging out the bird 🐦seed. We've lots of feathered visitors at the moment. Loving watching the youngsters trying out their wings. Well that's until the yobs (starlings) turn up and disturb the peace. The wood pigeons are gorging on what's ever out there. It's like a helicopter taking off when they get disturbed.
Right best check on tea. Enjoy your evening everyone

I'm sorry to hear the last couple of weeks have been hard on you.

I think the yellow paint could be an inspiration: we had it for years and it always looked as though the sun was coming out.

My thoughts exactly cherryfudge about the paint 🌄☀️🌞
Fairly steady morning yoga 🧘, another coat of paint and demolished a scone. Hating the fact that the room was originally peacock🦚 blue as it's taking some covering. Good job we've a variety of white paint tins opened and started🙄 from previous rooms. OH has gone to see fil in hospital as his brother is ill and unable to go. £2.80 for parking will be spent. Another opportunity to break the back of allotment jobs missed, but people matter more. Checked weather forecast for next week and it's looking good.
Had another conversation with the youngest after I added up how much they have spent in the last 3 weeks😡. They have finally agreed to budget training, starting next week🎉.
Right best get miss giddychops out for a walk.
