  • The night off turned into a weekend off so double whoop whoop.Β
Yesterday we went to the allotment for several hours. 2nd row of first earlies in (swift). 2 small beds of carrots sown under glass to stop them getting water logged. Cleaned the grape house out and replenished the soil. Sown cucumbers and lettuces in there. You never know the additional heat might help them grow. Weeded the new herb bed, the thyme I put in died, so need to sow some more. Asparagus bed weeded again, we have a tiny shoot. Started weeding the strawberry but the skies darkened and the wind picked up, so we went home.
    Frugalness for yesterdayΒ

  • Well I managed Jobs 4,5 and 6. Managed half the strawberry beds and almost all of the sage bed. DH got rows 3 and 4 of the potatoes in. Prepared pea trench as we emptied one of the compost bins. We were up there 5 hours and there is still so much to do. Tea was either leftovers or fend for yourselves. Exhausted, so having an early night.
    FrugalnessΒ
    1. Free exercise with miss giddychops, yoga and allotment.Β
    2. More future food prepping
    3. Breakfast used more of last years potatoes.Β
    4. Meal plan done, shopped from allotment, freezer, fridge and cupboards first, then made a list.Β

  • Actually stuck to my list today, Β£73.58. Not many ys as we go early as mil doesn't like to go when it's busy. Took mum to get some shoes as the ones she's got rub her wound. Obviously called in for cake🍰 and a cuppaβ˜• and bought some plants. My chillies 🌢️didn't grow even though I did 2 sowings, cabbagesπŸ₯¬ all died once transplanted not sure why as after 18 years of growing stuff I don't usually have this problem and celeriac has grown but not grown enough. Won't be going to the plot today as it's blowing a hoolieπŸ’¨ out there, lashing🌧️ it down every so often or hail stoning. Managed to get miss giddychops out for short walks in between the rain and sunshineβ˜€οΈ. Taking easy today as I'm still really tired and keep getting a headache.

  • Thanks debtfreewannabe321 it felt good to pay it off. Just need to build the op up ready for next year, probably won't be able to do that amount again.
Today the aim is to head to the plot, taking fil up for an hour, will probably go back up once I've dropped him back home. Lots to do especially since we are away from Thursday evening as we are away for the youngest birthday.Β

  • Gearing myself to go to the plot, not particularly looking forward to it in a skirt. Need to hunt for the big pin to stop it floating round my belly button in the wind🀣.
