Thanks beanielou, cherryfudge and KK for your kind words.
Dad was admitted last night for further tests, so we'll wait and see what happens. Not sure if I'll get over today as I'm taking the youngest to meet up with their bestie. We had to cancel their last meet up as I was ill. They are desperate to meet up. Hopefully the traffic won't be too bad.

🐞 - I just popped in to mention that I got some H3nd3rs0n's Relish from HB today, as we'd had a discussion about it a couple of weeks ago. I had finished the MrL version of the worcestershire sauce, and have found that type of seasoning useful, so want to keep it in my pantry.
If it's any help at all, I could have written exactly what you wrote about 'families and money' and 'getting swamped' with tasks when problems; such as ill-health, accidents or financial issues arise amongst family members. It's interesting how folk don't think to offer help sooner. I'm pleased that your DH has stepped up to the plate - long may it continue, you can't carry everything, all the time.

Thanks greying.
Not a particularly bad day, dropped in laws off at my bil before going on to visit dad in hospital.
Frugalness
1. Batch cooked some meals.
2. Continuing to use up discarded body lotion(the youngest), not sure I like smelling of mango. Looking forward to the next one as I'll smell of roses.
3. Parking was free as youngest came with me (blue badge).

Life is like living on the set of multiple soap operas at the moment. Ended up in a and e the other night, thought I was having a bad reaction to new medication. Turned out it was a panic attack, never had one before, it was weird as I woke up having it and it continued for almost an hour. The youngest has them, no wonder they are shattered afterwards. Gave me a real appreciation of the effect it has on their body, mind and spirit. Absolutely awful experience. I think my visit and subsequent diagnosis by the Dr was the final straw. So, I've took it easy the last couple of days, restricted my involvement with certain people and decide I need to look after myself first and foremost. Spent the last hour with my book, but need to get ready for having boobs squeezed by a machine, oh the joys of aging.

Oh, @ladybird1106 I am sorry you're going through the mill at the moment. I hope you are looking after yourself now, and taking some time out. I have also suffered panic attacks in the past and wow I didn't know what was happening to me but I thought I was actually going to die the first time it happened because I managed to induce an asthma attack as well. Terrifying. You do learn to spot the signs though and can help yourself a little if you know how to. I used to remove myself from whatever situation I was in - just get up, walk out. and breathe, properly and deeply and allow myself to cry it out whatever was trapped in me. I hope you find a way to deal with them- I hope you don't get them again actually.
Hope your dad is okay too.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.
So after much toing and froing to the Dr's they are fairly certain that I have developed a auto immune disease and have referred me to the hospital for further poking and prodding. I have had to cut back my involvement with the local environment group as I neither have the energy or headspace to join in. I'm unable to go with DH and the eldest this weekend as I'm unable to walk far. Very disappointed as I was so looking forward to starting to do things I enjoy as the youngest doesn't rely on me so much.
Anyway back to things mortgage and money wise. Renewal is almost completed, I will not be using the same broker or solicitors again. The amount of stress it has caused has been horrendous. Next time we'll go straight to the building society and cut the middle man out.
Best get sorted as I have an appointment to have parts of my body squeezed by a machine as last time I turned up I got the wrong day.

Oh LB i am sorry to hear this. I hope some R&R might help a little. My sis has an autoimmune issue I don't recall it's complicated name though and she is better after lots of rest. Stress flares it up and it sounds like you've been through it with the solicitors and Mortgage renewal. Big hugs. Also hope appointment goes wellMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
