  • We have a new (to us) oversized TV courtesy of my dad wanting to keep up with his brother. My sister and I kept telling him, he didn't need a 58"tv (he had a 50"). Anyway as soon as he said I'm just looking🙄, we knew it would be arriving soon. Hence we have the old TV, it's going in the youngest room once the eldest moves out in the summer.
Not alot happening at today due to exhaustion, making a veggie curry. Tried out my new instant pot for chickpeas. Reasonably happy with the results.
    Frugalness
    1. Instant pot used for soaked chickpeas
    2. Veggie stew prep for when we get in tomorrow night. (potatoes, onions and parsnips from the plot)
    3. Rehomed a TV.
    4. Used nature's tumble dryer
    5. Chickpea water saved for miss giddychops tea.

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR.
DH didn't sleep well last night because he's too excited as we are off out for the day on our own doing something that he is very passionate about. We don't get chance very often as we are usually busy at the plot at weekend or seeing family. I'm taking my book as it's not really my thing and plenty of leftover Christmas snacks.

Happy new year! Just read your diary, I hope the instant pot is everything you've hoped for.
  • IP is fab although I have to admit I'm a bit scared of it. I'm worried I'll do it wrong and end up injured. Overactive imagination! The instructions seem idiot proof.
Plan for today is to get my 💉 anything else will be a bonus as I'm exhausted.
Need to start my yoga routine, starting with 5mins and will build it up gradually. Will attempt a 5 min declutter and 5 mins tidy up.

  • Found several pieces of gold jewellery (couple of broken pieces) that I've decided to sell.  I don't wear jewellery, so it might as well go. Ordered a gold pack from h........ That my decluttering for the day.

  • Had to food shop yesterday as we had run out of bread, milk and a few other items. Managed to get my sister 6 gluten free pies at 69p each, so dropped those off and had a quick cuppa. Couple of ys items. Reduced Veggie sausages for breakfast, which I cooked off in the oven as it was on for jackets last night. A minute in the microwave 😋.
    Frugalness
    1. Weighed gold jewellery to give me some idea of its value whilst waiting for packaging to arrive. Just need to find the remains of DH ring that he had to have cut off.
    2. Leftovers for tea.
    3. Lots of ys sticker items at sm. Under £50 spent
    4. Free exercise with miss giddychops and yoga
    5. Fun pot set up for any change.
