Thinking of ASB and ASB's DD today in the hope that the hospital business goes smoothly and DD recovers easily and quickly.Paying guest arrives this evening, so that room needs to be primped and ready for her. The central heating's been on for a couple of days in the rooms she'll be using to air them and warm it up as it's in the basement which is always a couple of degrees colder than the rest of the house. I 'inadvertently' let the heated towel rail in our ensuite be included but it turned out bathroom into a sauna so that's now off. Very odd to be this warm at this time of year. Must primp the shower room for her too, which means moving my exploding bottles of elderflower champagne out of the shower temporarily.Must also finish the final thank you cards today.Better is good enough.5

Sending love for ASB and Missy.. I hope all goes boringly smoothly and healing is swift and painfree.. (((hugs))) I swear these things are worse for parents, the children just seem to sail through!
My head is so painful, I smashed off a nail .. and I need a cuppa.
waiting for a couple of packages. I need a food shop and I need to get a few necessary bits off Am@zon . I will make a cuppa and sort that first.. I have a few parcels to package and send and a return. I need to drug this pain too, I can't think and it's making me feel a bit nauseus.
Bedding staying out on the line.. in the rain..
SIL was on the phone yesterday trying to get us to go there to pick what we want out of the house.. it's not even on the market yet.. I just said whatever they don't want we will keep.. I have lots of needy people who can benefit from it all.. there are some bits OH definitely wants but when they have taken their stuff I will bring the rest.. that sounds reasonable and better than paying someone to take it which they did with Davids sisters house.

Shower room and bedroom, passages and stairs to front door all dusted, some paintwork washed, a window cleaned, vacuumed to within an inch of their lives, dog washed because she came back from her therapy walk very muddy and happy, coffee supped with neighbour, and net curtain washed by hand, now drying on the kitchen railing because it was minging. Dog harness also washed. I simply don't see the dirt until I pro-actively look for it and I'm far too busy enjoying myself for that most of the time. That room hasn't been let for a while and it showed. The thank you cards will be left to another day AGAIN because I'm now cream-crackered.I reckon I've flown more this week than I have at any time during the whole of this year, but I'm letting myself off the hook for that because my ankle was still healing for the first few months, I was busy trying to get fit after that, and dealing with the dogs' needs most of the time. Layla was the focus of my attention until March, and Wren since.Wren is coming on and the therapy walks are all about her separation anxiety, and getting her ready for when she's going to stay with the dog walker/dog sitter. She absolutely loves the woods and being walked off the city streets so I'm not doing that at the moment, the dog walker is, and she always takes her out with other dogs rather than on her own. She loves being around other dogs and takes the lead from them, not even being concerned about a clap of thunder today because the other dogs took it in their stride, apparently. She is one very, very happy dog on this regime and today only showed a tiny bit of hesitation when she realised she was going away from me again. She's coming on nicely.Better is good enough.5

Morning all
Thank you so much for the vibes yesterday. The operation was a success and we are home. DD slept all night which I wasn’t expecting but I’m so pleased about. We have to keep her arm dry for two weeks then everything can be removed.
Flying wise, I will do the basics today indoors and clean the hens out. I intend to relax as much as I possibly can, and look after the childrens needs. I bought DS one of those overpriced Lego comics yesterday as a treat - he was thrilled, bless him.
Have lovely days all and thank you for being my mates xxx

Great news, asb! Hope all continues well in your DD's recovery xxx
Minimal flying here, apart from occasionally filling the DW or making a couple of beds. I have also decluttered many more photos and hope to sort some ancestors this evening with DD.
DH wasn't feeling too well yesterday so I hope it's not going to affect our lunch date today with my old uni friend (mum to my eldest goddaughter). Best go and wake him up!
Happy Saturday to everyone xxx4 -
Morning all.
So pleased that all went well ASB.
Today, I can do as I please. It's a gorgeous autumn sunny day so a long walk with Poppet is going to happen.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.4 -
Good morning all xx
Glad to hear that all went well asb xx
How is Miss Squizz doing after her op piggers? Recovering well I hope xx
The flylady vibes were obviously working well here too as I've not only survived the week but I don't feel like a zombie this morning. That's a huge improvement on last Saturday 😊
Im up, having slept until 7.40am, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, and I've supped my first brew. Looking for Fayolle to see if she is going to provide the second brew....if not I'll put kettle on.
Back soon. Have a good day

Morning all
Great news about the op. ASB, There are covers called Limbo that are waterproof. i had one for my PICC line. I got mine on prescription.
Got washing (bedding) to peg out. DD was felled by period pain yesterday so i’m hoping she’s had a good night and is feeling better today. Sadly, something she inherited from me.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear5
