Second brew was savoured. I even managed a moment of mindfulness while I was supping it. Quiet contentment. Rare.
I'm dressed, pegged out two loads of washing - sunny but nippy here, my fingertips were numb when I'd finished, fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling, and put new bin bags in the bins.
WUDUPA next. Or maybe a coffee, then WUDUPA. Yes, that's a good idea 💡

Me again.
lovely walk with Poppet. I've checked banking, designed a poster for a Xmas event, done dailies and second wash load is in machine. First is blowing on the line.
DH is putting up new curtains in his hobby room. There's lots of banging going on so I'd better check if he needs a hand.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
DD1 has kept her dosed with paracetamol all week so she has had very little pain. Her cheeks are a bit swollen and her mouth is swollen. She just smells of blood and smelly breath because she can't brush her teeth for a week. She is doing ok otherwise and will be better in a few weeks.Thank you for asking x
My head is agony today.. I can't move my head .. borderline crying pain.. it's horrible. I will be yelling at the GP come Monday.

Morning all
DS1 stayed here last night and said that he would buy me breakfast at the posh coffee shop near the station if I took him for the morning train to meet up with some friends. The breakfast was lovely but he was clearly struggling to eat it. He is not himself. After making big plans for his birthday he now doesn't want to celebrate it which is a worry. I am really hoping that him seeing the Haematologist on Monday helps.
Then I drove to my Saturday morning volunteering and felt so anxious I nearly didn't go in. Gritted my teeth through it. Supposed to be meeting my cousin and some of her friends at busy bar in town later for her birthday but not sure that I want to go.
I have set the DW going but that's it.
Glad things went well ASB, and sorry the pain is bad Pigpen x5 -
Hugs Yorkshirelass, sometimes life is just pants all at once.
Second wash load on line now and I've just taken a Victoria sponge out of the oven. I'm only going to bake once a week now as really these things should be a treat. The scales agree with me.
DH has put up the curtains but has now had to go back to work to sort out an issue.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
I am so sorry DS isn’t himself YL. I don’t blame you for not wanting to go to a busy bar, I couldn’t think of anything worse. PJs and wine by the fire is far nicer.
I have done lots of outside jobs and chopped wood. DD is upset, long story but she was blaming her arm pain for something that she was perfectly capable of doing, but didn’t do, so I said she needs to get her act together with school work. She is now upset with me but I simply cannot prod her to do every piece of homework, I have enough to do and it’s not teaching her resilience if I just do it all!!
Fire lit now and toasties for lunch. The washing dried on the line in the chilly sun xx6 -
Brought the washing in. It's dry but cold, so I've put it on the airer to warm up. The wind is biting. OK in here though - sun is on LR window in the afternoon.
I had the coffee but didn't get the WUDUPA done. I'll do it tomorrow. Reading and Strictly is my plan for the rest of the day.

Belovéd got the pressure washer going! Yay! Front steps, that were driving me crazy look much, much better and so does the path. I wouldn't go so far as to say it all looks fantastic but it's so much better. And better is good enough here, at the moment. Two loads of washing done, the grim dog towels, bedding, harness, collar and generally filthy stuff first and the darks afterwards. It's clear and cold here so the towels will finish off over the kitchen railing having been blown about all day, the collar's back on her, her harness is hung up ready for tomorrow morning and the rest will finish off overnight outside on the sundeck. The broggies and other small things like socks are finishing off on the round peggy thing over the lintel on my office doorway.A fair amount of vacuuming has been done, too.The house is surprisingly cosy given that we've only got the heating on for about 4 hours a day for the lovely paying guest who's stayed here several times over the years, a Japanese violinist we both like very much. I imagine when she goes Belovéd will want it turned off again but I think I'm going to suggest we just the heated towel rail in the shower room on (also warms up the kitchen above it) and the big radiator that drives the thermostat. It's on the landing downstairs and heats up the stairwell because hot air rises, and that makes the whole house feel warm. It's very unusual for us to only turn the heating on in mid October, it's more often in September.Better is good enough.5

Put on my big girl pants and went out. I like my cousin and sometimes you have to show this anxiety whose in charge right? I drove and said straight away that I could only stay for an hour or so. It was OK actually. Home now and in Jim jams watching Strictly.
It's so cold out there!6
