Paid stuff done for the day.
I have made the pack ups for tomorrow, and now need to unload the DW, gather the washing in from the line and concoct some tea, I think it may be leftovers so no real effort there. It is bright and beautiful here, more like a spring day than early October. We are set for overnight lows of 2 degrees later this week so I won’t get too complacent though! X7 -
Shoes and hanging clothes sorted. *fling* I think the local hospice CS will be pleased with the donations. I found some things I'd forgotten I'd got so there are few new ideas for outfits in my head. Rather pleased about that.Six of the thank yous written out, addressed and stamped ready to post on tomorrow's dog walk (basically all the short ones!).Better is good enough.4

mum seemed ok, was a break for dad, too. it’s run by an OT so when she tells him what we’ve been telling him he’ll believe her. Came back from swimming and have knitted. DD out for tea so i have liberated some chilli from the shed freezer for mine. While it was heating through i made greek salad for lunch for the next two days
i need to get my washing in…it’s going dark (insert eek smiley)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all
Glad you are feeling brighter ASB, today was a pretty good day here too x
DS1 is having a meltdown, one of his routine tests has shown that his calprotectin levels are very high. He is very worried, without being able to tell me he is very worried, so we have had a couple of tricky conversations. He assumes that the cancer is back, which is possible, but it is more likely that his Crohn's is very active. Then again I am not entirely sure what can be done about it if that's the case. Poor kid.
DS2 on the other hand has applied for a promotion after 3 months in his new job and been successful. So I am congratulating one whilst gently hand holding the other.
Flying? Erm I did wash the dogs blankets. And put the kitchen to bed. That's about it.

Hello everyone,
Some lovely and supportive thoughts flying around on here. No pun intended, but I’ll leave it in anyway.
YL, well done to DS2, and a big hug for the uncertainty that you and DS1 have to go through, it’s so hard and you feel so powerless.
Flying has been limited to one load in the wm, then cooking / kitchen tidy this evening. Had a long night in the WAC, starting at 2am. I am prepared tonight, so there is cake in the tin for anyone who cares to join me. A sort of victoria sponge meets a jar of Nute££a concotion.
Day off tomorrow, and I have a list, especially need to get some admin done. Oh and it is 31 years to the day since DH and I tied the knot.5 -

Ionafan has the ex left the younger woman for a younger one yet? It's like their egos can't cope with getting older, so they have to trick themselves into thinking they're young again
I have done a rubbish job today. I have managed to get 2.5 sets of curtains back up, done and hung a wash, rinsed and repacked lunchbox for JF. I didn't shower or wash up, floors haven't been done. I'm having a wobble today over upcoming holiday and how I will juggle my own sensory issues, JFs autism, and Mr Flamingo's dislike of staying away from home for more than 2 nights whilst we're at Disneyland Paris for 4 nights. All three of us dislike crowds. I usually feel responsible for other people's moods, so expend a lot of energy with reassurance and deescalating frazzled tempers, then I feel low because noone else is happy. It's hard to try to be positive. I have been feeling quite anxious this evening, and catastrophising (I have high BP, so what if I go on a ride and have a heart attack, or the crowds are so bad that I have a heart attack? Or I just have a heart attack at home because I am such a worrier? What if we want to just come home but can't afford to?) Sigh. I expect to be in the WAC tonight!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Fayolle happy anniversary. Mr N and I have been together (knot-free; you can't rush into decisions like that!) for 45yrs next month, definitely my real life friend.
Level 1
Open some windows for some fresh air door to conservatory open plus outside door
Wash up, dry up and put away (or remove all pots to DW)
Clear sides and wipe down - wipe small appliances and caddies etc.
Replace what lives there, wiping as you go
Clear and clean sink and accessories - don't forget those out-of-sight places - under plugs and under draining racks - and shine those taps - or clean them! got sidetracked before sinks but i did scrub the basket thing that holds washing up sponge/brillo pad etc
Throw away your manky dish cloth or sponge and replace with a new one!
Clean cruet, salt and pepper, wipe any sauce bottles that are used on the table and wiped the tray/basket they live in
Level 2
Wipe down all cupboard and drawer fronts inside and out, not forgetting handles and tops and bottom as well as fronts! some cupboards and drawer fronts wiped.
Clean hob
Sort fridge and wipe seals; weave stuff that needs using up into your meal plan; update shopping list as appropriate, wash shelves etc and check running temperature just wiped fridge front and seals
Descale kettle if needed did that recently but cleaned outside of kettle today
Level 3
Sweep/mop/vacuum floor swept and mopped
Zumba cancelled this morning; I was quite relieved as I somehow walked into the sofa leg yesterday and have a black and very painful toe. However it enabled me to do a really good kitchen clean.
Went to town to the library then collected beautiful clean curtains for bedroom. Mr N hung them back up this evening.
Vacuumed and polished another segment of the bedroom. The windowledge I vacuumed 2 days ago has dust on it already. Plus lots of ladybirds are invading to hibernate.....looked them up and they are the harlequin ones so shouldn't be encouraged.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
hugs YL…
WUALTD. have watched the quizzes then the JS dramatisation…Steve Coogan is excellent and vile at the same time.
DW and WM locked and loaded. Good prog made with knitting. Am stressing about the increase and keeping to the pattern but having done the holeysleeves on the jumper i knitted for myself i am sure I will cope. I bought a couple of ‘new’ baby patterns from the Salvation army so i’m looking forward to trying those patterns, too. There’s another baby on the way, so i might try one for that baby after i finish this top for my friend.
sweet dreams all xDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning!
Thanks for the hugs x
Flamingo just picked up on what you said about being responsible for everyone else's moods. That is so me, in fact I keep saying that this Christmas I am not going to run myself into the ground trying to make sure everyone else has a great time. It's also a good reminder for me when I am trying to help DS. And I get anxious about holidays too but I am always fine once we are away!
I am up, yoga done, going to empty DW and get myself ready for the paid stuff. Yesterday wasn't a bad day so I hope that continues!
I will report on flying later. Hope Tuesday is kind to you all x7
