When I had an HSBC bank account this was the logo on my bank statements better than the new one 🤩

Mine don't. Are you sure you've not fallen for a scam?

    Maybe it’s a typo!

I recently opened and completed a Nationwide switch just after the re brand launched. I received the old debit card, but I was not bothered.

Today I received an email inviting me to request the new design debit card “as promised” giving me 14 days to do so. Seems to be a bit of a waste of money to me replacing these debit cards after a few weeks just to change the design
They gave away £100 to a fairly random set of customers a few months ago.
What different will wasting funds on a £5 debit card make?
  • Admittedly without reading the article just seen a headline saying nearly 500 Nationwide staff are to be put on redundancy notice. Sure they'll fully endorse the waste of money on a pointless rebrand and a poncey advert.

I don't think that's a scam. But I do think that it's illiteracy by a sub-par member of staff. Typo is way too kind. Surely Nationwide's whole shtick is that they are a Building Society.

    Or a disgruntled staff member.

Nothing's changed apart from the logo.
