The advert, set to a cover of the Carpenters’ We’ve Only Just Begun, opens at Amlwch Port in Wales.
The black horse can be seen watching as a fishing boat heads out in the dawn, before he turns and gallops away.
We then see him galloping through green fields alongside a steam train as a little girl watches and smiles from the carriage window — reminiscent of any rider on a train journey, imagining what it would be like to gallop across the passing countryside.
Next we watch as he runs past a lake, as wild swimmers — and a dog — dive into the cool water, before he races a group of cyclists up a hill.
He passes a pub, as someone sorts barrels, and we see a lady driving a combine harvester watch as he passes through the field she is harvesting.
The horse trots gently alongside a mother and her son as the boy learns to ride a bike, and finally we catch up with him as he splashes through the surf beside a cheering group of runners on a wide open beach.
“By the side of a nation that never stands still,” ends the voiceover.
Richard Warren, director of Lloyds Banking Group Marketing Communications, said Forever Forwards “recognises and celebrates the resilience of British people and businesses we serve”.
“The advert represents a diverse range of customers from all across the nation as they move forward, and above all reminds customers that we are by their side during these extraordinary times,” he said.

I have always liked the hsbc lion, it’s a shame the bank does not make use of this icon in the UK as it does in other markets. For people interested in branding there is a whole thread on the monzo boards somewhere dedicated to bank branding and their cards!

Every time I make a change, open or close a instanr saver for example, Nationwide sends me a letter.
I dont need a letter to confirm what Ive done, it actually feels now like putting it on paper could be a security risk as the post is so un reliable/insecure.
I cant see a way to stop all the letters.
Do all banks do this?1 -
Nationwide are very old fashioned and have very archaic systems. With other banks I think I've had something through the post when I've first opened an account with them but not with subsequent accounts. It makes sense when you first open an account but if you are already accessing an account with the app it seems pointless sending you a letter when you open another account with the app.

Hi there,
OakNorth has had a little refresh!
Why the new look?
We started helping ambitious savers like you back in 2015. Since then, things have changed. We’ve launched new products, won industry awards, and brought you a highly-rated mobile app.
We believe your customer experience with us should feel transparent, modern and simple – something our old brand couldn’t always achieve. Our new look and feel is just another way to help you with frictionless saving. Nothing else has changed; our commitment to helping you is as strong as it was when we first began.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to do anything (apart from admire our new brand, of course).
Has everything been rebranded?
Our website and your mobile banking have been updated with our new brand. Your web online banking will look the same as it does today, but you’ll see our new logo. In the next few weeks, you’ll start to see our new designs rolled out across all of your experiences.
Why we are letting you know?
Seeing things that look different can be alarming, especially when it’s your bank. We want you to know that our new brand is just a fresh lick of paint, but we’re still the same OakNorth.

In 2008, I attempted to pay a credit card bill using a Bank Giro Credit slip from the bottom of the bill along with a Nationwide cheque at the counter in Nationwide, as I had run out of cheques in my Bank of Scotland cheque book. I was informed that they could not do this as they were a building society, not a bank. Although they could set up a bill payment through phone or online banking.
They do have their own range of sort codes though (and did back in 2008 too), whereas Skipton uses Barclays sort codes.0 -
Ordered a new card thinking I’d get the new one and they send out the same one as before.I also hate the way when I use Apple Pay the notification is the nationwide logo from ages ago.All this money on adverts and rebranding and they can’t even get it right0
