babatunde123 said:So i wait basically 20 days then reply saying i deny any debt & require 30 days on the “reply form” on UKPC websiteYes if you'd rather delay the claim until near Christmas. I wouldn't.
I'd prefer a claim to arrive sooner. Up to you! These are easy to defend and I predict (even if they really do have a 'litigation team' which we've seen said before by another firm who didn't have such a team) UKPC won't have a flying clue what to do and making them field a flurry of counterclaims would be hilarious!
Should be amusing to see if UKPC really are going to issue claims in-house. They might not. For example, some firms like OPS send their own LBCs then they don't issue claims.
DO NOT SEND A SAR.
DO NOT FILL OUT ANY FORMS.
DO respond asking who their supervising solicitor is and whether they are actually contemplating litigation in-house. Ask them why they are saying people who dispute the 'debt' must fill out financial forms (because they are only for people who do not dispute it) and why they are not offering any dispute resolution. Remind them they must answer this within 30 days, as stated in the pre-action Protocol for Debt Claims.
try using this email address for them and tell us if it works:litigation@UKparkingcontrol.com
Finally, what's the PCN for - what contravention and where - and was it only from May this year?
What happened when you complained to the landowner which you know from the NEWBIES thread is PLAN A? You aren't meant to ignore a PCN. No-one here said that unless you are in Scotland.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

& I didn’t actually complain to the landowner when i the newbies post it was when they started to send the solicitor letters
It was only from May this year & the reason is “registered users only”0 -
Did you have business to be there? What went wrong? Business was closed? Obligation to register your VRM not obvious (e.g. gym or hotel?).
Of course landowner complaint is done now (never too late) but also try responding to UKPC using the email I suggested, tell us if that email works.
If not, try:
appealmoreinfo@ukparkingcontrol.com
You should respond to a LBC. I advised you what to ask. You could also add that you have complained to the site business (and name them).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Even if this did end up in court, it will be next year now
And just to correct what was said further above ......
"I've yet to see anyone put it in a defence"
My post was to explain all about this company and how they operate .... OF COURSE IT'S NOT A DEFENCE ???
We are interested to see an actual court claim by UKPC as up to now they have used a legal called DCBL which has been a disaster for them.
Read this link and as you can see, time after time UKPC cases have been discontinued
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1
A judge recently said that UKPC claims were ridiculous ... we all agree and probably do the various courts around the country
Doubtful UKPC would discontinue as they probably want some action in court .... mostly the action will be by a judge and his friend .... the spanking stick0 -

OK. You didn't get the PCN because you forgot to change the car registered address on the V5C when you moved house? Have you addressed that with the DVLA now?
Same letter as here:

babatunde123 said:This is their replyDear UKPC Litigation Team,
As you say, the case is at pre-action stage. Why then, do you refer to "the claim form you are in possession of"?Apart from anything else, did you never learn at school, not to end a sentence with "of"? It's bad grammar, which rings alarm bells as to who exactly is threatening me with litigation.
You don't know what you're doing, do you?
So: what Claim Form is that then?
As you are styling yourself as part of a litigation expert team, perhaps you can kindly explain which form is "the Claim Form" among the bumf you sent me?
Can you also please explain your cause of action?
Finally:
Why do you think responding under the PAP and exercising my rights under that protocol means that I am "potentially issuing a claim"?
And who is your supervising solicitor?
I want to report them to the SRA so kindly name them as you are required to do if you are carrying out a reserved legal activity, as you seem to be suggesting you are able (namely litigation).
Yours faithfullyPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
