Sorry about Squeak, Piggers xx
Hope all is as calm as can be at work Round xx
Lambs done! A personal first for us living here. Proud of self. 5 hours paid stuff done, three more to go. Loads of laundry, it’s pouring with rain here so all in TD. Woodburner lit as it’s pouring with rain and a biting wind.
After work I need to collect DD, go to the tip, buy more animal feed then take DS to open evening at high school. Oh and do a top up shop. It’s no wonder I’m so tired x9 -
That does sound exhausting asb!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I've done nothing all week.. I am still recovering from Saturday and all its people.. and this coming Saturday is going to be a killer as well..
I think I hung up a load of laundry yesterday but other than pack ups and dinner I've done nothing. I hate being this way!
I have sent a couple of scathing emails and a slightly grouchy one.. Informing school why Squeak couldn't go to class.. why would they not say 'Mrs E is off sick today so we are going to go to history, is that ok? We can go to the library if not and read' ... rather than physically push her into a class she isn't usually in and doesn't the seating plan or where she can sit and setting her off... and this.. useless caseworker is why we need the EHCP and 1-2-1 funding!!! SENCo has emailed and she is lovely but she is aware and will check in with Squeak in the morning. Audiology called and said Twinkle passed her hearing test.. so now we can do the SaLT referral she really needs and when that comes back it will go in as part of her ASD referral.. the inexperienced class teacher is oblivious but I have 8 others with a diagnosis I know what I am seeing.. I might push for the SPD referral too.. it's just a phone call so nothing exciting but it will reinforce the ASD referral.. maybe next week...
loo.. too late to eat but I can get the laundry shuffled.

Thanks for the kind words. I am very tired and didn't get home from a meeting until 9.45pm last night so clocked off at 2.30pm today, came home and I am now under a blanket on the sofa. Have pencilled in some annual leave for next month, good suggestion Round x
DW on a quick wash, sheets in WM.
Fishcakes and HM oven chips for tea, minimal effort required. Need to make our bed and really should run the cordless hoover around.
Well done on the lambs ASB!8 -
Wow Pigpen, it's been hard enough getting support organised and in place for 1, I can't imagine! Be as gentle with yourself as you would be with another parent-carer with ASD kids. Some weeks you only have the bandwidth for the bare minimum and the disability admin, and that's absolutely enough xxMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Valli said:Nikki iirc you live in a certain Northern city beginning with L. What’s a must see for a tourist? The ferry?Yes I do. Let me get back to you on that as it's a while since I did the touristy stuff and I'll have to check what's still open lolMy hospital appoint was cancelled due to the industrial action (No problem with that as I fully support them!) and then I got a phonecall from the research team saying my appointment shouldn't have been cancelled but it was now too late, so they were going to check if my rescheduled appointment for next week was still within their guidelines etc. Then they called me back later to say everything was fine but if someone tries to cancel it again I have to refuse and tell them I have to be seen.So instead I've done another batch of dishes, spent 2 hours on the phone to DS (who is now finally testing negative for c0vid), tided up and wiped down all the worktops in the kitchen properly (minus moving the microwave) and watched 2 horror films lol Since I don't need to go anywhere, and after checking with DS, I'm going to try and remove the pockets on his old tracksuit bottoms so they'll sit a little more comfortably when I need to wear them.Off to find something to eat for tea, I have a meal plan, but I'm too tired to stand and cook today. Tomorrow I'll try doing something in the slowcooker if I can get the damn thing clean!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!7

Not pencilled YL! Inked! In indelible ink. 😉
Thank you asb - it was calmer that yesterday. Touch wood. Nothing that we were told about the new system is true so far! And one !!!!!! (boss) has gone off sick and the other has gone on holiday. Isn't that marvellous. 🤔
Anyhoo I'm home, put out the bin and recycling box ready for collection tomorrow, changed into my scruffs, had a coffee, and I'm settling in to drool over Mark Harmon/ watch NCIS.
Have a good evening

It was beyond exhausting and all the people-ing at the open evening made me shudder. I totally forgot to get the yogurts and crisps we needed for packed lunches in the supermarket so they have an extra sandwich each and some raisins instead. The kitchen is a hovel which is heightening my stress levels. I really, REALLY, don’t do people anymore. I hadn’t realised quite how much so until just now.Not much has sunk in so I’ll leave Yorkshire Gold tea in the pot for the WAC and some chocolate malted milks xx8
