Afternoon already, it seems…
More hugs for YL. That WAC was a busy place last night. Car has been into the garage for the overdue service. Paid as quoted and it is now sparkly clean. I played hyper-worry What If all night and until I got home. Am inordinately proud of having driven to big town to the garage for 8am, waited while it was serviced with coffee on tap (the cancelled service in my worry list didn’t happen), went to Mr S, got a new kettle to replace the old one (might have slipped a top into my basket that was in the clothing sale) AND got home. All without the What Ifs happening. And I used to do these things and more without second thought.
Anyhoo, new kettle ticked off the list, 1 load of towels washed and hung outside, bedding changed (day off job, so that makes it happen, similar to Flamingo), hair washed. Bathroom cleaning next on the list, waiting for the kitchen blinds to be delivered.
DH is on Day 2 of retirement. He might not make Day 3, let alone Day 22, at this rate….👿7 -
Me again. Downstairs I sorted the jars, spices and cereal cupboards, wiped all skirting boards, cleaned tables, wiped windowsills and all on them, wiped appliances and cupboard fronts, cleaned fridge, cleaned hob and ovens. Then finally I had a bath and got dressed. Next was changing our bedding, putting dry washing away and dusting flat surfaces in our bedroom.
I have just hoovered through. I'm having a cuppa then will take Poppet for her walk.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Sounds like everyone has been very busy!
Covid jabs cancelled, didn't find out til we got there! Fish tank cleaned, all floors hoovered and mopped, dusting done. Waiting for washing on line to dry, need to get second line up for next lot of clothes from the machine. One load put away, some decluttering done. Wrist a bit better so will try to do hall walls and skirtings tomorrow

All dailies now done. I decided to paint my nails. Base coat is on but I got distracted sorting through all my nail polishes. Threw out four which were past their best, but I still have 49! Also popped out to shop to get ingredients for making a birthday cake later in the week.Spend less now, work less later.8

@Jazee my first thought was 'she can have a different colour on each nail every week for seven weeks!" Then I remembered people commonly have more than seven fingers. Oops.
Junior flamingo has apparently felt poorly all day at school, they emailed to say he'd slept in the quiet room since lunch time! Uh oh, he was only off poorly with a cold last weekMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Hope Junior is ok, Flamingo.
Bathroom cleaned. Blinds delivered at school pick up time. Cue chaos in the street.25kg of green beans chopped and blanched. Alright, maybe a slight exaggeration. Enough that a thorough game of freezer Tetris is needed. Last of the plums cooked, and will do for lunches. Apple crumble prepped from some apples that are not going store. Easy pizza tonight, pretty much my favouritest meal in the world.
Getting texts that today at work was chaos. It’s my day off, and the chaos is not my doing. Stamps feet, as this will prompt a night in the WAC. I have ginger nuts, if anyone decides to join me.
I hope that Round’s day went ok. Or just went, if that was enough x6 -
Fayolle he seems a little tired but fine, keen to eat! What is WAC?Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I suspect I may join you Fayolle. Today was every bit as nightmarish as I expected. Why am I even surprised? Took parrots for the banging headache as soon as I came home. Had stomach cramps all morning- I suspect that I get stress induced IBS. Whatever it is the pain takes my breath away. Chaos. Chaos. Chaos. And then, to add to the fun, colleague and supervisor had a ding-dong row over my head this afternoon. Appalling lack of leadership skills very apparent. Wince.
Anyhoo. I'm home now. And changed into my scruffs. Remembered to bring home my coat...so I don't have to go back tomorrow. I do really....cause I need the money. But it's nice to think that I have the option 🙂
I was mse and avoided the temptation to stop off at the Co-op to buy chocolate and cream cakes and other calorific comfort food. Well done me 😇
I will cook something for my tea. Is that flying? Cheese on toast maybe? Not exactly cooking, but hot.
Love to all.
