Unfortunately he’s discharged from everyone now, so nothing new to add. He’s got his diagnosis and then it’s discharge and you’re on your own. I still have all that evidence though.

Like I say school will back us up to a large degree and he gets social care short breaks. Hopefully that’s enough.

Remember to include the evidence from social care & school. Don’t rely on DLA to contact them.

Bleugh, feeling a bit meh about work. They keep employing agency staff, who do an easier version of my job but get paid more than me.

At the bottom end they get paid £65 per day more than me. At the bottom they get £165 more than me per day.

I know it’s agency work so only short term contracts, lacks the same benefits I have etc, but it’s still really upsetting to know people are getting so much more than me for doing the less stressful elements of the job. Quite a few of my colleagues have handed their notice in to do agency work.

I had a look for jobs off the back of it and there’s just nothing about for me currently. It’s so frustrating.

Outside of that, I’m just busy with chores and just life in general. Nothing much to report.

I’ve started doing bits back down at the allotment in between all the storms we've been having. How satisfying is this picture! 😍

What's been really nice is the kids have been ok with coming. I'm hoping to get the beds ready and then sort the paths out. We are trying to convince them to give us the plot to the right as well so that we can turn it into one big plot, with a space for the kids and dog to chill a bit easier. But we shall have to wait and see. Thats what's holding us back on the paths for now. Mainly because we'd resize some of the beds to make it more functional. It's a bit tight in places.

Up until yesterday it's been a cheap half term. The kids were in a respite group yesterday which cost £17 each. Then I had to buy them wellies and a new coat. Today its the hairdressers.

But I may also have spent money on booking a short break for us for later in the year - It'll be well worth it though. It may be our last one with the big one going to high school next year - we shall have to see. Speaking of which, it's two weeks tomorrow when we find out where everyone is going. Fingers crossed the school he gets is the right one for him.

Right, I really need to get going. The next few things I need to do:
    1. Walk the dog. ✅
    2. Offer the kids a bath if they want one (I promised them yesterday).  ✅
    3. Shower - I'll do this after the dog walk though so I feel the benefit. ✅
    4. Get my parcels ready for posting. ✅
    5. Sort some laundry. ✅
    6. Clean the kitchen. ✅
    7. Look at cleaning the upstairs bathroom - I did the downstairs loo within an inch of it's life earlier in the week. I do keep it clean but this was a 'mega' deep clean iykwim.

    Oh and lastly, I OP'd
    £200 on the mortgage.

Thank you. I’m pretty sure he will get his first choice…his school is a feeder school to it. But you never know, weird things happen.
