Think I’ve been affected by keeping up with the Jones’s today. I keep feeling bad we’ve not done much over half term. But we all went into it a bit under the weather, it’s been raining all week and we have done some stuff.A few dog walks, a day at a holiday group, haircuts, the allotment etc.

The dreaded brown envelope has landed. Time to start thinking about what I will actually write. As opposed to just knowing it’s going to happen.I hate it all I really do.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24

It’s been a heavy weekend. Next doors mum died, she was a lovely lady. And my grandma had a fall on Friday. She’s now in hospital with a chest infection, leg infection, flu and sepsis. She’s 92 so it’s a bit of a worry. She’s obviously, very poorly.Works been horrendously stressful too. I’m just exhausted. I really am ready for a break. Ideally just something incredibly boring with no plans for a while.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24

Well grandma went back to the home after a week for 1 night before bouncing back into hospital. She’s still incredibly poorly but they are looking to release her to a care home the hospital took over for elderly bed blockers because she’s gonna need intensive physiotherapy.DHs mum has also been bounced in and out of hospital, but hopefully she’s ok now.
I’ve been off work for a week after catching a virus from the youngest of our household. I’m still incredibly tired and need to try and get my get up and go back. It feels a lot like post covid fatigue.March has just been a lot. Sigh.
Still, we are all still here and keeping on keeping on. Nothing particularly exciting to report financially.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24

Grandma is still with us, but still in hospital. Still not sure what’s happening there. She keeps developing new problems, then rallies, then goes downhill again.Got £50 on premium bonds again and £20 on people’s postcode lottery. It’s just been a quiet few weeks of trying to get through life tbh.We are back on with the allotment now which is fun. Hoping to go down today and finish weeding the asparagus bed and planting out my strawberries (hopefully). That’s how far I got weeding the asparagus bed before the monsoon level rain came. 🤣Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24

Went to the allotment again. Wanted to sort the strawberry bed, so ignored the asparagus bed and went straight to it.Didn’t get to finish it…again! So two nearly but not quite finished beds. It’s so annoying.I’ll just have to pot my strawberry plants at home. Then put them in the bed when I get round to it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24

Still working on the dreaded brown envelope, but I'm nearly there now. Just need to double check everything and my friend is going to get a supportive statement for me by the end of the week - she knows him really well and is a mental health OT, so hopefully her views will hold some weight.
I will ask school but I know some schools can be hard work with it, so we shall see what they say.
I've taken the kids swimming again and they had a great time. It's so expensive though it's bonkers. They've had a great day today though, the big ones best friend since birth has been round due to childcare difficulties. They've just been chatting and giggling all day. Which has gien me the headspace to work on the brown envelope again.
I went a bit crazy with a mega spring clean yesterday. The hallway in particular looks soooo much better for it. It's giving me a very happy feeling everytime I look at it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £1.42 Dec24
