  • Well done on the OPs and getting that daily interest down.

I find a beginning of the week 'what I want to get done this week' really helpful as then when I go back the next Monday to see what I got through last week and what needs to happen in the next 7 days it spurs me off to get some things off my to-do list as they hanging round for too long.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

That’s a brilliant idea. I get hung up on a daily list but maybe a weekly one might seem less over facing and give a bit more flexibility to rejig things. 🤔

We were meant to be having a combined doing day, but DH has done something to his knee and he’s currently in quite a lot of pain. So I’m flying solo on the productivity stakes. Which is a bit frustrating for both of us.

Signed up for some more survey sites. Hopefully I can make a few extra pennies. I really fell off all the extra stuff I used to do.

    Now at 12/25 - 48% tasks completed.

I’ve also decided to try and do at least 2 surveys per day whilst I’m off.

I’ve also managed to clean the kitchen and play with the dog and do some bits and bobs in the garden before the awful weather hits. Just taking 5 minutes before moving onto folding laundry.

I’ve just withdrawn £11.50 from Prolific. I plan to move it to the mortgage as another OP. But I’m able to do it currently as I don’t have the account number to hand.

Very proud of myself for earning that today though. 😁

    13/25 tasks done - 52%.

DH has a few tasks of his own he would like to complete. We shall see how far he gets - his ADHD brain can sometimes be a little too optimistic and he ends up getting nothing done because he gets overwhelmed.

    Housework

How do you keep on top of it? Do you have a timetable? Or routine you do? Any quick wins which you have found offer you some serious benefits?

I feel like I’m drowning in it all and really would appreciate some help.

    Exercise.

Similar question. How do you fit it in? What do you do? Any top tips?

I lack time, space and a good amount of motivation. But I’m physically weak, have a bad shoulder, some lower back issues and I’m not flexible at ALL!

    16/25 - 64% done.

What I have discovered in sorting the boys drawers is either I’m going to have to up my washing game - or I’m going to have to buy them more clothes.

    Note to myself for later.

    Things to consider starting again:
    1. Meal planning
    2. Batch cooking (freezer is too full of Christmas related food to start actually doing this). Would also need to consider containers for batch cooking.
    3. Flylady to support some sort of order with housework.
