That's great news that you found DS1 favourite t-shirt in a bigger size on vinted. I love vinted, although I probably get over excited and buy too much on there. Like you I look out for Dd's favourite clothes on vinted in bigger sizes. I was over the moon when I found a coat in the bigger size for her  :) I do sell on there as well, got a bundle of three items to post today and now inspired to find more to list today when I try and tackle the kids cupboards!

Loving your accountability posts for tasks. Sounds like you are doing amazing job.

Thank you - I needed to hear that today. It’s the last day before the return to work/school and I’m having the guilt about not having done enough.

I have however done the most important thing of the day today and played with DS1 and the dog in the snow. We haven’t got loads, but more than enough for snowballs and rolling round in.

I’ve sold 3 of the 10 extra things I put on Vinted - just need to post them. But that might have to wait until tomorrow now because I don’t fancy trying to go far in this weather - it’s started snowing more.

I plan to get the Christmas decorations up on the loft before 12pm. Then sort the kids school bags out.

I’ll get back to my list after all that.

Ok so I didn’t do much of my list today after all, because BALANCE. We had a family day of fun which cost absolutely nothing.

We played in the snow, then took a break to pack away the Christmas stuff. Then we spent the afternoon playing board games. It was brilliant.

So the remain jobs are going to convert to this weeks to do list I think.

    To do this week.
So outstanding and additional tasks are:
    1. List at least 5 things on Vinted.
    2. Post the 3 things that have sold. ✅
    3.
Tidy and rearrange the boys bedroom.
    4. Sort the playroom so the cross trainer can be used by the end of the year.
    5. Help the kids sort their Pokémon cards.
    6. Plan allotment for this year. I’ve scrapped the allotment visit due to the weather - so removed it from my list.
    7. Clean the extractor fan filters properly (did a little clean last week but they need a proper scrub).
    8. Tidy my office space. Going to do this as part of my return to work on Monday. ✅
    9. Tidy the hallway.
    10. Meal plan for next week.

I will also have the obvious daily jobs like laundry, walking the dog etc, but the above list is the extra stuff.

Hoping for another NSD tomorrow and Tuesday. Alas the car is in for its MOT on Wednesday so I will have to spend money that day.

So it was return to reality day for us all today, which I was a bit sad about.

However, I managed to post 2 parcels on the school run/dog walk this morning. Then posted the last one at the post office at lunch. So that’s the stuff I’ve sold posted. Just need to list another 5 things to keep me happy.

Did a full day at work, but not a full days work - the system we use was down all morning which was beyond frustrating. Picked up DS2 from school and listened to him tell me about his day. Waited for DH and DS2 to come home, then sorted the school bags to make sure everyone has what they need for tomorrow.

I’m trying to loosely follow Flylady so it’s a bathroom focus today. So I cleaned the mirrors, window, window surrounds and then sorted any clutter/recycling from that area. The counter still has loads of rubbish on it, but that’s a problem for another day.

I made tea which felt much easier because we’d meal planned, so felt like I didn’t need to put much effort in. I definitely want to keep this up. The kitchen is clean too.

Oh and the dehumidifier I ordered came. So u set that up and the box is going outside the next time one of us has to (tomorrow am at the latest), it’s too cold to have to go outside tonight.

So the car has cost £275ish to fix which is much better than we were expected - that includes the MOT. Feeling very relieved.

I have been paid £8 so far in Vinted sales. I had grand plans of doing x, ,y and z and being super productive yesterday, but I appear to have been struck down by some sort of lurgy again. So I everything has gone to pot a little.

My new to do list stands as thus:

    1. List at least 5 things on Vinted.
    2. Laundry ✅
    3. Tidy the boys bedroom.
    4. Sort the playroom so the cross trainer can be used. It’s in the conservatory and it’s freezing in there so isn’t a super urgent task.
    5. Help the kids sort their Pokémon cards. Tried but they didn't want to.
    6. Plan allotment for this year. Have some rough plans thrown together.
    7. Clean the extractor fan filters properly.
    8. Meal plan for next week
    9. Tidy the hallway. I've made a start with this but need DH to move some of his stuff out of the hallway.
    10. Pay for car.
    11. OP mortgage with Vinted money. ✅
    12. Pack school bags. ✅
    13. Homework with kids  ✅
    14. Put flylady plan together. ✅

So my cheeky £8 OP brings it to £119.50 for Jan so far. Would love to knock off a bit more, but I know it’s a marathon and not a race.

I’ve managed to hurt my back a bit. I wonder if it’s the cleaning I’ve been doing that’s sparked it off. I bottomed the downstairs loo to within an inch of its life yesterday. Even scrubbed the floor old school on my hands and knees.

Made a start on the upstairs to give it the same treatment today. But had to stop due to other demands.

I’ve joined the flylady thread in a bid to keep me on the housework straight a narrow and hold myself accountable. It’s working so far but whether I stick to it is an entirely different question.

Stressful week at work ahead. Fingers crossed that all goes well, it’s only a 3 day week but I’m chairing on some rather substantial meetings. At least one of which could get pretty hostile against me. Fun times.

Still onwards and upwards. I will make this year count and I will be fabulous whilst I’m doing it!
