Well it’s been a meh week. Pretty boring though which is how I like it. Work was intense and very busy, thankfully the week is over.I’ve been feeling a bit meh all week, not ill but not well. DS2 was off yesterday because he was poorly when I picked him up from after school club on Thursday. He’s woken up today full of the joys of spring, so shall see how he progresses over the course of the day.Sold something else on Vinted so another £3 in the pot. Managed to also pick up the dogs meds from the vets yesterday so another job off the list.Today I’m hoping to catch up on housework. The meal planning has been a MASSIVE help, it’s really reduced the mental load.
DS1 has been accepted on the physiotherapy waiting list - so I guess now we wait. He’s quite anxious about it all. He’s suffering pain still and he’s scared about making it worse.Thinking about cancelling the kids swimming lessons. DS1 doesn’t need them anymore and DS2 isn’t really progressing any. They are £30 a pop because they are specialist lessons and we can get a family membership at a place 15 mins away which has swimming, gym, exercise classes, cycling, boating lake and loads of other bits. So think we might try that instead.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I feel like I’m drowning in it all and really would appreciate some help.Exercise.
Similar question. How do you fit it in? What do you do? Any top tips?
I lack time, space and a good amount of motivation. But I’m physically weak, have a bad shoulder, some lower back issues and I’m not flexible at ALL!
On exercise - think its about you finding what you enjoy doing- if you can make it sociable eg join a local Tues night class or go swimming with family on say a Sat morning etc it can help.
There is some online yoga you can do - free on yt - even 15 mins a day will help
I used to train a lot but am now paying a small amount each week to train - and as it goes out weekly so I am reminded to go when i see it lave my bank acct. When I am low on motivation the fact I have paid annually does not register - but seeing the money go out each week does get me out the door.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Well the lurgy hit. DS2 was off last Friday and was subdued all weekend. Then Monday DS1 came home looking like death warmed up. He was off Tuesday- Thursday. He went back Friday but still isn’t 100% and is just very tired.DH has also been ill and I’m just feeling a bit run down…but touch wood I’m not ill.The hoover has various attachment's on its last legs so I have ordered some new bits. And I got my hair done on Friday (I think it’s pretty). So it’s been quite a spendy week.In MSE news, I’ve cancelled the kids swimming lessons. It takes us 30 mins to get there on a good day (traffic is usually worse on the way home), it’s on a Friday and the pool is cold. They don’t seem engaged and it feels like throwing money away. It’s £30 a time (£15 each) because it’s a SEN one with lower numbers and we have to be in the pool.So we are looking again at a family membership for different place so we can swim when we want rather than being dictated too. It also has a gym and lots of other stuff.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

hair looks lovely, love the pink.
Sounds a good plan to cancel the swimming lessons and go as a family instead, it'll be much more fun for the kids.SAVE £25000 IN 2018 25600/25000 NO. 118

Baileys_Babe said:Will you use the gym and other stuff? And it works out cheaper than paying for the swimming lessons we have been doing. Even if we just went for a weekly swim it would be cheaper.DS1 can swim. He loves water and would like to spend more time in water. Plus it will be good for his rehab on his knees. DS2 is still doing lessons with school but just needs more time in a pool to build his confidence. He can swim, but isn’t confident in water. We are going to go for an official tour next weekend and take it from there.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
