    Well today has been lovely.
Gave the garden a mini tidy up, ironed and put away the kids uniform, got plenty of washing done. Moved the table so DS2 can build train tracks…no idea where we are eating now. 🤣🤣🤣

Shame I’m working tomorrow. But so feeling a bit more organised which is good.

Bleugh, DLA have tried calling me. I don’t know why. I’ve tried calling back but was in a queue for ages and had to hang up.

Wish I knew what they wanted. I did not need this in my life. I’m sure it’s a basic question but I’ve obviously spiralled into it’s about something complex and then he will be denied.

They say 9am is the best time to call so that’s my plan, I’ll try 9am and see how far I get.

Going swimming with the boys soon and then out for a family walk. Yay the holidays (we broke up a week after everyone else).

Well a long awaited update - DS1 has had his DLA confirmed until he needs to switch to PIP, which is a big relief. We have also got a request for an EHC needs assessment in for him. So it's all life admin go for him at the minute.

I'm exhausted and about to enter into exam marking season. I don't know why I do this to myself every year (we all know it's for the money). It's exhausting. But needs must.

How's he finding it? I've just submitted my standardisation scripts. It's the first paper in years I'm not convinced I'll pass standardisation on - it's all just a bit mirky waters. Some of the questions and answers just don't marry up well. Ahh well, we shall see.

We went to the allotment this morning before it got hot. My goodness by 10.45 we were dripping with sweat and had to call it a day - it was already sweltering. So we went to B&Q and got a few bits we need.

    We bought:

    • A strimmer and spare cord.
    • A hedge cutter
    • A door for the kitchen cabinet (for the dishwasher - the old one broke).
    • Some marigolds, because I've not been able to germinate a single one this year for some odd reason.
    • A seed sowing tray tidy thing - I've been after one for ages.

So ended up spending a fortune - but it's all stuff we need and that will be helpful. Aside from that, I'm just trying to survive the heatwave. Back at work tomorrow though - boo.

Turns out I smashed my standardisation scripts and I should have more faith in myself! Yay me.
